It’s so easy to hate A’rou. But the root of all problems is the envious, jealous empress. A’rou is just a pawn. But in the end she is just the slave of Ruyi no matter what title she is given publicly. It was super satisfying to see the rug pulled out from under her!
It was even more hilarious that everyone knew it, didn't give A'rou a shred of respect and even the Emperor didn't give her the satisfaction of touching her. As Ruyi said, since she lusted over the Emperor, riches and titles, she must pay for it. So suffer she must. And finally, she met a befitting end.
