On top of that, his books are easy to read and get into. Theres no pages upon pages of descriptions thatll bore the shit out of you or anything of that sort, its just story and characters and action

I love the darker fantasy stories that arent afraid to put the characters through some really dark experiences yet still capture the wonder of the fantasy world. Joe balances the dark and twisted with the fantastical and inspiring brilliantly.

Phenomenal! I picked up The Blade Itself from a local library right before lockdown started and blasted through it. I really enjoyed the series, great character work. I thought the world was fun, though unspectacular, and the plot was a decent twist on the usual tropes. I like Lord Grimdark's writing style, it combines ruthless cynicism with vicious humour fantastically.
