Please note that Cheyenne Mountain has all structures unlocked from the get-go. Players unlock/build those in all further stations they discover.
Each structure produces or consumes resources. It is up to the player to decide which resources a station will prioritize.
Surpluses of one resource can then be transported between stations in exchange for another resource category.
We will try to better explain this system inside the game.
IS IT A MORAL PREMISE?. If the Government LOST control of the surface, they lost, it is not "reclaiming" but "Invasion".
Any game needs just the right amount of tutorials.
It’s good to see a game dev listing to constructive feedback and doing something about it. Will be buying the game when it’s available on steam :)
So Cheyenne Mountain starts as a fully operational base, but every new territory the government claims needs a base built up from nothing? On top of whatever regional hospital or CD bunker that dominates that landscape.
If the player decides that some structure in Cheyenne Mountain is just chugging resources, can it be temporarily disabled?
Was this game made from War Room code or from scratch?
About war crimes for real : it has to be an intentional violation, or gross negligence or "disproportionate" (I don't know how it is in the game). Accidents are not war crimes if you really did not know there were civilians or if you really targeted a vital target (i.e. if destroying a given target will save many lives, it may be deemed acceptable [i.e. proportionate] even if there are some civilians nearby. That requires some oversight). Sadly, in real life, very few war crimes are ever prosecuted; depends on the country's military culture of course.
I heard not US nor China, nor Russia and many others except Europe procecute such cases internationally
Recommend people skip this title, the previous title from these same developers is called War Room, and it behaves effectively the exact same, other people in the comments here note that the map is almost the exact same, with a slight reskin. War Room was abandoned. Skip this title until the devs actually commit efforts.

Almost every game Splattercatgaming gets skipped by me. I dont know why but he has a really bad record of covering games that end up as scams or instantly abandoned after he uplaods the video. I'm not surprised that this is one of these scam games

Thought this game look familiar and yeah, its made by the same people who made war room who released a large roadmap to then just abandon the game. Everything from the UI, gameplay and presentation is the exact same besides the fact they put a blue tint over everything.
Would recommend skipping this game since their last few projects have been left unfinished

Second game in a few weeks where we had devs abandoning a project and then starting the same thing over again with a different paintjob. Shame.
I always loved the Enclave of Fallout. There is something appealing about trying to restore order to a chaotic mess of a civilization (if it can even be called that). So if this game is basically role-playing as a somewhat softer Enclave, then I'm totally in for this game!

I don't think that's really what the enclave is doing in fallout 2. Basically genocide the entire continental US, kidnap and brainwash any leftover vault dwellers and inhabit the twice slain corpse of America.
But you can call that order from chaos in a way.

He ignores them himself but is reasonable enough to demand that they are implemented for the rest of us.

to be fair, splatt has played thousands of games.
he knows the basic mechanics of game types.
when he doesn't, he does of and check the tutorial.
here he clearly had no idea what was going on and so had to use the tutorial and found it didn't help.
I mean he skips them for the video but he usually plays them off-camera.
I think he means documentation. A hand holding tutorial level is different than mouse-over info panels that tells you how to do the thing

Yeah i appreciate the comment section for checking this stuff. Splat does a good job at putting out interesting indie games but isn't great at checking if the devs are trustworthy for these ea games.

I would suspect that everything is unlocked at your starting base, but you could probably build bases/outposts in the different sectors or villages as well and those will need to be unlocked. Which is why you are not producing enough food and stuff, because you only have one base producing food instead of several. That is just a guess though.

Seeing words "White Sands" and "gritty" made Starhawk OST play in my head. And I'm a strictly PC player:D
Looks like the devs might not be best. Devs are also responsible for War Room which is considered an abandoned game. The devs claim they have a new update coming in September, originally announced for June. Before getting White Sands i recommend waiting and seeing what happens with this update in Sept. White Sands is due to release in August so caution up.
I swear I've seen pretty much this exact same game but with a different setting. I've got a sneaking suspicion it's a bit of a reskin. Still, looks like they improved on it.

Definitely looks exactly like War Room. Same developer? Even the same ranks for unlocking units, the interface... everything. :O
EDIT: Just checked on Steam. Same devs, War Room was apparently abandoned last year due to the war in Ukraine and now this shows up? Strange.
Seems like it's even the exact same map. Same village locations and everything.
I've been wishing for a good post apocalypse grand strategy game for a while.
Kind of strange that killing 1 or 2 civilians is considered a war crime in the post-apoc world..... Its barely considered one in the current world. All depends on who does it in our current world.
If you "must send" a particular asset, it should just auto-load and lock it in.
I like the idea. Playing as the government is something you don't get to do very often in post-apocalypse games. There was that zombie game where you are a government task force arriving to contain the outbreak of a city.
And I like that your primary resource as the government is people. There is no shortage of stuff after the plague, tons of stuff are sitting stuck in warehouses. They don't have the people with the right skills to make use of it.

@@chimpolini Cepheus Protocol. Patient 0 in a zombie outbreak is somewhere in a city and you are the government forces trying to quarantine it. You get resources from establishing map control. The city is filled with a civilian population and smaller factions and you want to evacuate them or protect them in a safe zone. You build a little field base and blockades and flow more troops into the city. While you muck around, the zombies and especially patient 0 are going around trying to infect people and establish hives. And eventually you can find patient 0 and have a nonsense anime battle as they toss tanks around and jump up to punch your helicopters.

after abandoning their earlier game called "war room", i see they just copied the game and changed a little to make another game and milk players before abandoning again. never again they lost my trust compeltly

There's absolutely games like that but they're mobile game ports not worth anyone's time to my knowledge.

yo splatter i know i technically a new user because i had to delete my account, but I've been watching since your bannerlord days and i really really want you to cover enshrouded when i thits or if you get into beta it has some really really good potential to be a good game
Game looks very cool, I really love the theme and concept of it. The splash art for the units looks a bit...ai tho? Doesn't really give the idea of a cohesive art style from someone with a design vision, and I don't think they add anything to the game anyway.

i think failing to identify the dificulty is more your fault, since you can send a drone, scout and asses.... its basic fog of war

Looks like the art is AI generated which is a turn off unless its a place holder, also it seems they abandoned their last game (War Room).
Looking at some other games that Splat has covered, it seemed like the use of AI art in indie games seems to have increased by a lot. It's sad to see...

The chief reason why its a not a recommend is that all the art is AI generated. Why should I support a dev that doesn't support artists.
The main reason is that they abandoned War Room and now this game is the reskin of War Room.
The thumbnail is a bit misleading, I was expecting a different kind of game. I guess I missed the "strategy" from the title.
Are unit photos AI generated by chance? They look good but something about them just makes me wonder. Like they are different but also similar in a way AI generated ones can be.

We've successfully scouted the enemy base and evaded detection. By turning everything in a 2 mile radius into a crater. Nobody left to resort your presence means perfect stealth.

Less the developers made a different game using some different techniques and keeping things from the original game with fighting and military and Afghanistan
