theres apparently another way to get to the ever after in vacuo. Alyx and Lewis got there somehow
what makes that even more mysterious is that Alyx and Lewis come from before the great war, which the schools, and presumably the vaults, were created afterwards. So they must have found some way other than the vault for the Sword of Destruction to get to the EverAfter

Yes. Any person with magic, so Oz, Salem, and the maidens can produce a portal to the void which ends up in the Ever After. Because Oz made at least 2 of them we have seen so far, used as safe holding areas for relics.
@@jeffreysmith236the impression I got was that Ambrosius was the one who created the vaults. Then again it has been a while since I watched that episode so I might be getting it mixed up.
@@tenofprime raising Atlas was the last thing he did before Penny, and when he raised Atlas the vaults would have been destroyed if he made them, only one thing at a time for him.
love how that livestream heavily implied that Vol 10 is coming - it seems it has legitimate backing.

My mind went instantly to Neo, but how would somewhat recognize her?
My theory is that it is Neo. But Neo is really Alyx. And when Neo was reborn by the tree at the end of V9 she became Alyx again. Alyx then left the ever-after.
Theory part 2 is that the end of Somewhat's story will pickup later in the show, where once we meet Alyx (on remnant) she will somehow be able to be able to return to the Ever-after for as-or-now unknown reasons and then we get the scene "Oh your back!" As our reference point for Somewhat's story.
It would justify all of the Alyx-focused exposition aside from the "Parallels" with Ruby in volume 9, would be a nod to the foreshadowing in V9s opening (there's like 3 shots where they fade Alyx into Neo or Neo into Alyx) which we all know CRWBY likes to foreshadow volumes in advance.
@@undeathghost5627 It makes the most sense to me sense Alyx and Neo were never referenced together the entire season. Whenever there was talk about Alyx Neo was far away despite them being constantly referenced together in the intro. I remember making a comment about Alyx not being the same girl when she returned to Remnant (When Hazel was beating them)

Someone said a theory to who Somewhat was seeing...and It made so much sense it hurt.
What if it was Summer Rose, and he mistook her for Ruby.
The ever after is capable of altering time, so it would explain how Summer has gone missing for so long with seemingly no trace.
(This theory isn't without holes, how did she get there, what about her encounter with Salem, How did Salem Grimm-ify Silver eyed warriors)
Interesting theory... Kind of a cute way to make it a character somewhat recognizes but not one they knew.

I just have to say again how much I love the art style for Beyond, like its so good. Yang and Ruby in particular look so good, especially Yang who's just respectfully gorgeous. I want to see Blake and Weiss in this style so much, especially Blake. I love the 3d style too, but I just really wouldn't mind having a full series (10+ episodes) with Beyond's style. Like I'm just going to point to the obvious, gimme Team STRQ Beyond styled prequel series plz whoever they're in talks with.
- The Prince gives major Whitley vibes xD
- The portal to me leans to 3 people just for narrative meta reasons: a reborn Neo, a reborn Curious Cat, or Alyx; though with how time works it could easily be a future Ruby or RWBY that have either taken down Salem or are returning the Brothers to the Ever After for a talking to.
- As always love the chibi-Ruby.
- I love that the show reinforces time and time again that Ruby did the right thing in Atlas and that her & WBY & co. are the heroes in the story.
- I find it hilarious that an episode about Boba doesn't at least have a dip-in for Blake, considering that Arryn is a big boba fan xD Though I do think that Lindsay had fun with that big, so maybe they're just as much of a boba fan xD
- Yang's speech to Ruby is so good and hits so hard on the emotional spots, not to mention Barb as usual knocking it out of the park with her voice work.
As for RWBY, I'm definitely in the camp that Jordan Levin (RT's GM) said in the stream after the news came out about RT. That RWBY is just too special to go away and especially with Kerry and crew fighting so hard for it. Especially at the hands of a penny pinching no concept of art p.o.s. two-bit old corpo like David Zaslav and his WBD.
Wonder if that is Neo 2.0 that Somewhat was speaking to?
My theory is that it’s Summer. It has to be someone Somewhat already knows, so this could (in theory) include RWBYJ, however, we didn’t see Juniper’s reaction, otherwise we’d know if it was one of them. I don’t believe it’s Neo, since Neo jumped off the tree before Somewhat appeared. Somewhat may be thinking it’s Ruby, since she and her mother look so alike.
Honestly, I thought the exact same thing it make sense, but I don’t know sounds possible if neo was the one
if you look at the opening shot of the door out of the Ever After, Neo isn't on her branch, which suggests this is after she found herself
Guys, it's has to be one of RWBYJ. No one else makes sense since Somewhat wouldn't know anyone else from beyond.

My wild theory is that both Tai and Glynda are looking for the Royals to have them join the fight who have an army that’s equal in strength to the 4 kingdoms at their height of strength. Though I do believe they will fail in their search.

I think somewhat saw one of the gang. They came from a portal looked to be created by ambrosus. He looked so happy to see them and was familiar with them the only person he met that could come back like that was team ruby/ John
My thought is that since somewhat seems to take the place of the curious cat I think neo has comeback taking the place of the jabberwalker

I thought of Cinder because of how Cinderella had Mice, but it sounds a bit cliche and doesnt feel like those two would be friends. 😅
We've only seen the Blacksmith or Ambrosius create the portals, but Somewhat only knows team RWBY, Jaune, and the Blacksmith. But I don't think they'd hide who it was if it was the Blacksmith. Or if it's anyone else we already know. So... Could it be Summer, and that Somewhat just thinks she's an older Ruby? Or maybe there's someone else we haven't met yet that has been to the Ever After? Perhaps the mysterious figure from the first episode, who looks suspiciously vague enough to be either Summer or literally anyone else?
Edit: He also knows Neo a bit, but she should still be in the Ever After.
No, Oz created 2 portals so far, but he had also created the solid space past them as well. Those are portals that lead to the relics, just not as fancy as Ambrosius' or the Blacksmith's.
@@jeffreysmith236 Visually, Oz's portals were more like doorways. You could see through them into the vaults. Which is why I didn't consider him in my comment, because he hasn't produced a similar result.
He also didn't create the spaces in the vaults, either, only the doors that led to them. And he's created more than two doors. We've just only seen two vault doors, so far. But he made four of them.
@@DarthTingleBinks they did look different, but they were the same as they led outside of Remnant, and Ambrosius was ordered to create a place just like what Oz made. We didn't see one in Beacon, and we have seen only 2. There probably is one in Shade, but I don't know that.

Hmm...Somewhat only met team RWBY + Jaune, and it's unlikely any of them are back...but the ep revealed they were given a task by the Blacksmith, so maybe they know more about other creatures than they normally would? IT'S TIME TO REACH! My current theories are: Neo in whatever form she chooses (Somewhat might know what she'll look like due to the Blacksmith), one or both of the Brothers (huge reach, I know), or maybe Summer (Somewhat doesn't know her, but maybe they'll mistake her for Ruby since the two look so similar?). Regardless, I *really* hope we get to see Neo again...she did awful things, but I still love her character and want to see her at peace 🥺

Guarding the relic maybe, but where did you get "dragon" from? The only dragon in Vale was the grimm that Ruby froze in v3, which obviously isn't Tai. Besides, we saw him in v5.

So the roosterteeth website player is a load of crap. Not only was it playing ad midrolls with 3 or 4 copies of the exact same ad back to back, it also skipped ahead in the video as if it had only played one of them, so it ended up skipping scenes entirely. I hope wherever V10 ends up has a functional player.
