The best of luck. I think you shouldn’t have to many problems. As long as you’re not going to need the vehicle for a few days. Keep on keeping on my good man and be safe!
I've been trying to figure out why mine don't fit. Bought it with them but ill have to look at it tomorrow to see if they did it right. Thanks for the vid and let me know if you are parting out the donor.
Ironically my wife has named this Sub Dante from the movie as she loves the 86 that melted in the movie. I was going to put the 4bt cummins with 4500 but the head on the 4bt is toast. Thus we are considering a 5.3 LS or bigger swap. I only wish it was a 3/4 ton to open up more build up options
As for part 2. Sorry but the swap had to be put on hold. Moved to NC for reasons of my mother's health. My family and I have been renting a friend's basement apartment for over a year now while trying to find a house with a shop that we can afford. No such luck on my wages as a highschool shop teacher. As soon a as I can get my tools unpacked and set in a dry place I will resume the swap along with a mounting list of other repairs and modifications. Thanks for watching
Sadly it's been 4 years since I started to research the barn door swap. Goodmark makes the tail panel that will have to be swapped out. It's best to saw off the rear of a scrap burb so to have a template side by side. I'm still planning on doing this to my burb, and have most of the parts. However I had to move and have just now gotten a roof over my shop site. Still trying to get power, walls and concrete. Life has truly gotten in the way, sorry for leaving y'all hanging on this much needed documentation of the process.
I like that. “Anyone that thinks you can just bolt on the doors, you’re wrong.” May change that a little bit but I’m using that.
I am currently working on a 79 cargo burb. It’s a 8 lug 4x4 Suburban. Thank you for the video. Looking forward to watching your progress.
Still got that richard?

would it be easier to just cut the whole rear off behind the side windows and weld it on the other suburban ?
Do you ever start stuff and wish ya hadn't lol I do all the time Tell the wife its fine as it is ✌
I need a part 2, my suburban originally had barn doors and needs rust repair for the hinge mounts. Need advice!!!
I want one of these with a dana 60, 14 bolt, and a nv4500 with the 6:1 first gear. I loved the one in Dantes peak that melted in the lava.

It's just like everything else I guess, Noth'n is simple in Life or Car's anymore. Just A Lot of Hard Work and A Lot of Hard earned Money........

Came here because i was thinking about this

I would like to convert from barn doors to tailgate. Has anyone ever converted? Thx!
I'm not that ambitious. I would add a lady latch handle somewhere.
Same I'd rather have a square body suburban than the 91 style one
