Here we are at the Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort! Where my fiance and I had a wonderfully relaxing time. We even got to fit in an excursion, which was in my opinion well worth the money!

My husband and I have been all over the Caribbean and the Melia Caribe tropical was the best form of paradise we ever saw. I hope someday to get back there. Unfortunately my husbands decease but maybe someone new or just friends.

I stayed there with 9 ladies during Labor Day weekend. Had no clue that it was DR Takeover but we had a good time and met some cool people.

I like punta cana but sometimes the food at resorts just isn't good at all. Europe has the food, punta cana has the beach.
I don't know how the food is now! But the food at the various restaurants were good when we had went. The buffet near the lobby was tasty in my opinion, while the buffet towards the beach wasn't the greatest.
But yes I heard the food is a hit or miss in Punta Cana in general.

The staff were super friendly. A few didn't speak English, so they might come off a little bit cold. But otherwise really great and attentive.

Hi I am the guy in the video. In the water there is a lot of seaweed but it did not bother us. There was also a little net like 200 feet from the beach but you can easily go over it swimming.
Hi! Do you get to ride on a golf cart when you want to go to the other side of the resort? Or do you walk everywhere? Is all of the food included? Is there VIP places that you need to pay extra?
Yes there are carts to take you all over the resort. You can even call to arrange them. You may even decide sometimes to skip getting picked up because the grounds are very well maintained and offer some cute photo opportunities.
I would say 90% of the food is included. If I remember correctly there are maybe 2 spots where you'd have to pay extra and reserve. There is a vip package called The Level with private pool/beach/eating areas: here is a link bit.ly/2ZKNkm4

Hokkaido is the only restaurant I believe that wasn't included. All the drinks are included :)

Going there next month for a week. Is there anything you would recommend in regards of activities?
Have you already gone? I would recommend La Hacienda Park Excursion. But that's the only one we did, I enjoyed it a lot. Also, be mindful of what days they do the foam parties.

Is the food good?
Yeah, the food was great! The buffet in the lobby is way better than the buffet on the beach. All the restaurants had great food. The Italian restaurant was my favorite though.

it wasn't crowded at all when we went perfect balance. Just enough people to have fun and not be bored.

The beach water is veryyyyy nice. The water was very clear, I was at the same resort a couple years ago.
Yes free drinks! But the bars near checkin make the best drinks. At least that's how it was the last time I went! The beach water is super clear and the area is gorgeous.
There are no elevators. But the place is wheelchair accessible and they have ground level suites.

I booked the shuttle service when I made my reseravtion through a third party. I would contact the hotel so they can assist you :)
Hey, I'm booking a honeymoon for December there at the level punta cana beach resort? Did you like your stay? what room did you get? what type of suite? and how was the food? Any info helps!!
Hey, so we didn't stay at the level but we met some people who upgraded to the level who said that the room was just a little bigger than the other standard adult-only rooms. BUT! Since you're staying at the level you'll have your own private pool and beach area with other level members. And you'll also have the private à la carte restaurant and buffet for level members.
We definitely enjoyed our stay! And I would love to go back, it felt like a home away from home.
We had a Deluxe room, which included everything in the minibar. I don't feel like we missed anything by not upgrading to the level. They replenished everything daily. If they see you drink tons of water or use the coffee often, they'll give you extra of whatever you use the most. Since you'll be on your honeymoon, you may want to request rose petals on the bed. We requested that but when we got there, no rose petals. So maybe send in a request that if they don't have rose petals they can use another flower or find some other way to make the arrival special!
As far as the food goes, I would highly recommend that you have your breakfast and lunch at the buffet called Mosaico located next to the Meliá Punta Cana Beach lobby. The food there is excellent. My top restaurant picks were: Italian, Mexican, and Dominican. The Spanish and Vietnamese restaurants were okay they can definitely improve. I would suggest Italian on your first day there.
The buffet located on the beach called Rumba is not the best. But it does the job and the seating area is beautiful. If you need a quick bite to eat I would pass by there just for that.
Definitely, hit up all the nightlife events in both the adults-only lobby and the family side lobby. The activities make the stay even more enjoyable!! If you want good drinks the bar near Mosaico and any of the bars located around the lobby are the best. Tip: Ask them to just make you something nice or unique!
Check the calendar for "the pool party' a.k.a foam party and don't book an excursion on that day! And also, when booking an excursion do not take the offered price, haggle a little bit with them and get yourself a deal! We did the la hacienda park and had a blast. I also heard the parasailing is amazing! But will do that next time

I don't believe so! We stayed at our resort, and didn't think about venturing out. So I don't want to give you the wrong information 💕
