@@louzo5175 she/he/they probably didn’t tbh. 😂 I found one and it’s 100 fucking dollars. They are kinda expensive. My 30 gallon tank was about 100 dollars as well. Keep in mind you have to get sand,slates,purifying solution, thermometer, filter,FOOD, and you can get decorations such as plants, terra cotta, and more.

@@hiilikemushrooms200 I’m planning on getting an axolotl, and most the ones I have seen range from 20-30 dollars! It really depends on the colour type though, as for there is colours that can only be breaded by specialists

Hello! I just stumbled upon your videos! I have two axolotls myself and I love them so much. This is probably one of the best videos I've seen and your other one talking about axolotl basic tank products. I work at a local pet store and I go through an axolotl keeping talk at least once a day, so this is normally the talk I have as well! You really did a great job. I do have one thing I think would be beneficial to talk about. Cycling a tank before putting an axolotl in it I believe is important. While you can put them in before and monitor their water parameters, most people don't have the knowledge of the nitrogen cycle and what to look out for when they are cycling. It also gives owners a chance to learn about water parameters before they start taking care of an axolotl. When I first kept an axolotl I had no idea what pH, ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates meant. Honestly it would probably take a whole video to discuss, but this is something I wish somebody would have talked to me about before owning an axolotl. I hope you cover this in the future! Good luck with your axolotl endeavors and well wishes to the lotl babies you are giving so much love and care to! I might just work on rescuing these babies myself learning about your stories. 💖

Ahhhh!! I have been in love with these little guys for so damn long!! Begged my parents to get one when I was about 10, but after watching all you RUclips and TikTok videos about them, I am soooo glad she said no! I had no clue about the amount of work that is needed to just prepare everything for them and I know that I would not have looked after it correctly!!

I have an extra 10 gallon, ordered my baby axy💗 so excited. Will be upgrading to a 20 gal long once he gets bigger. Got all the food, cycled the tank, I’m so ready!
How to setup a tank for Axolotl =
-fresh clean dechlorinated water
-use bigger stone(they might accidently eat them)like Slate rock
-Provide a lot of Hides for them(they hate light)
-20 gallon long tank is best option
-filtration (with sponge, hose, air pump)
-tank top cover(if u have another pets like dogs and cats, and axolotl can jump out of water)
-Hook up the air sponge to the air pump(20 gallons air pump)
-Thermometer(temperature 60-65°F)
-Bubbler(for bubble in tank water)
-flooville filter(upright position is better)

Fralinger_bt You can feed younger Axies bloodworm cubes, but as they get older it’s better to feed them live!

Hi I’m thinking of getting an axelotle and I’m doing some research. I know that their water temp should be in the mid 60s (farenhight). Do I need to use a water fan or anything for temperature regulation. Would a bubbler take care of it?
I use coconut husk shaving for my hermit crab substrate. would that work for an axolotl? also, where can i find a chiller for my tank? i live in texas and it gets pretty hot here.

Question: Since the sponge filter bubbles, would you say that I would need a bubbler along with the sponge filter?
This is kinda late but most axolotls don’t like having a lot of movement in the water it can stress them out so you would only use the sponge filter. I’ve seen some axolotls that like the bubblers and will play in them but most don’t like them.
