It usually grows in areas above 1000 meters. Its length goes from forty to fifty meters. Its wood is very strong and was also used to build ships. The best varieties of cedar are found in Lebanon, Turkey, Pakistan and Cyprus. Pine is a very perennial tree and some species are more than a thousand years old. The trunk of such an old pine tree can be so wide that it can be cut in the middle and passed through the road.
