- hi guys, here are Eight New Things I could Spot from the spy shots that got leaked of the upcoming KTM Dukee 390 2024 model. I give you a close look of the almost production ready model that was caught testing.

Dino Bhai actually motarrad Germany should be thanked for the pics... now coming to the changes observed by me,
1. I think Bolt on subframe a significantly lighter and definitely more chik looking cast aluminium unit with probable side pannier support mounts instead the more crude looking steel tubes on the current lineup.
2. Newer all new curvier swingarm to complement the all new offset mono shock.
3. Wider and even more comfortable looking pillion and rider seats with straps for the pillion.
4. Brand New rear disc brake although superficially looking similar to the RC in design, it's coming with a new master cylinder as well as with a brand new bybre caliper (yes the caliper design is even different from the current generation RC 390)
5.bigger slimmer and probably lighter rear sprocket and chain so final drive ratio could be speculated to change to support an 'mental' levels of acceleration. So the calipers are changed for nothing...faster acceleration needs evn more reassuring braking hardware.
6. a new underbelly exhaust but with a bigger than before exhaust outlet hole which is longer and more oval in shape giving it the illusion of having the same diameter like the current generation models' sideslung exhaust outlet. Bigger outlet may be for reducing backpressure and for promoting more decelpops for making the emissions cleaner. This also tells us that the tuning might be even more race friendly with more focus on extraction of more tractable power.
7. Brand new heavily re-engineered fully grounds up developed second generation engine platform with brand new cast aluminium alloy looking engine hangers on both sides
8. Wider and bigger looking airbox side covers suggesting better and bigger airbox aiding in better breathing and better low end and punchier midrange also with a bassier intake growl hopefully.
10. Trellis frame structure seem to be having flatter profile tubes rather than regular rounder looking tubing.
11. Seat height seem to have gone up again slightly
12. New super Duke/ bigger capacity Dukes inspired cast aluminium orvm like that of the Dominar.
13. Newer headlight assembly with the new drl design inspired by the current generation RC turn blinkers shape.
14. Super Duke inspired front mudguard and last but not the least
15. Brand new heavily re-engineered version 2.0 or evolution of the current 390 cc motor with it almost being 90% if not 100% brand spanking new with entirely or almost entirely every components of the engine completely new or overhauled with the possible addition of the electronic vva tech that Bajaj has been rumoured to be developing. And if I heard from an older report KTM CEO Stephan pierer had stated that this time Bajaj would be solely responsible for the r&d for the next generation Duke 390 and the shelved 490 projects and that kind of seemed to be right as Joseph Abraham the chief technology officer was absent during the Pulsar 250 launch which was pretty out of the ordinary and he did join the function through web only from Europe. That all points to the r&d being completely taken care by his supervision.
I love old gen multispoke alloys. This bike has underbelly exhaust, hope they made it sound better( I wish closer to bs3 ones).

I am a huge fan of KTM DUKE 390, not only for how it looks but the power it has.. but personally I don't like the new design.. specially the absence of iconic head-lamp, tail-lamp and side mounted exhaust which is also required for offroad trails with water crossings... as we indian riders are very specific about what we see and what we get.. so i hope KTM should run a survey before taking any decicsion regarding the massive upgradations..
It is a street bike and one is not supposed to use for offroad or water crossings. This is where Indian biking culture needs to mature in. There are a lot of technical upgrades,they get undermined with practicality. Genuine motorcyclist would understand.

I would have understood if you said something similar about RC, but this one is good, they stuck to their design philosophy.
The underbelly exhaust is KTMs identity . The autorickshaw sound has a separate fan base
I already want it. Even I didnt like the new rear design, or the stock exhaust set. I want it. I hope they launch it in black n orange as well

*So my takeaway from this blog is, reason behind reintroducing 390Adv-with less features is definitely All-new 390ADV with complete overhaul is underway as well* 😊 am glad I can wait little longer to see what they're going to do with new 390ADV 🍻 cheers anna

Though the tank shrouds look less sharper than the previous gen, they totally complement the front profile really well

Under belly exhaust should not be there. It should be same of RC
Seat cushioning for both the rider and pillion should be same or near to himalayan.. if they cant do for pillion as much, they should surely do for rider seat.
Head light looks like the transformer kind of stuff..
It looks good with drl but head light design should except the drls should be of existing one.. it llooks more sharper and current head light night spread is good..
Pricing should not be that high end, as there would be lot of other options available in market by the time this bike launches

I'm really impressed by the design of this new duke 390 if it's launch then definently I will go for it but the price should be aggressive......

@@chiragsthakur1022 you know what at first I guessed 3.5L ex showroom but then considering the price of the current gen Duke 390, I felt like 3.5L ex showroom is like overpriced so I changed it to 3.5L on road as my second guess.

irony is i am watching videos of GT650 and 390 duke and confused between them just a week ago i come at conclusion after seen a GT in flesh that i want GT for my self and now i watched this now i think i can never buy bike for myself. tbh this KTM is too well designed
Totally different bikes, take test rides and decide, if you want real adrenaline rush its always the Duke
If it is getting more features and safety then definitely it is worth buying,yes even look matters but it's fine with me
The bs4 model was the best in its era❤️ closest to perfection. This 2024 version lacks the looks of ktm and more looks like the newer Indian bike lineups
IDK if I like it or not tho... They are trying to give it a 790 or superduke kinda look but I think previous one is much better. Same goes for seats, these seats look even thinner than before and the pillion seat is just -_-
it's mixed feeling..... somethings we'll like some we won't

I feel in love with my 2022 Duke 390 as soon as I saw it but unfortunately this take in 2024 design language is not my favorite, I saw a more futuristic concept design for the 1290 before I saw this video and I thought it would be heading that direction. Hopefully the new 1290 does not head this way as well I was really looking forward to upgrading in two years.😮We need the cage, less of the Dino 🦖 theme and more of a stealth theme which is my personal opinion. Staying symmetrical would be nice and sharper lines with more air ducks would help with making it look more aggressive but edgy.

And if I sit on it iguess its going to be heavy in right side.also its looks like illumination is decreased... Not necessary changes in headlight...

2022 and 2023 designs are the best imo
The new design looks good, but something about that headlamp is bugging me. Current Duke has that drl which reminds me of a bull charging, however, this one looks a bit hollow. But still better than the treatment RC390 received.
Gen 1 duke 390 was 2.2lkhs onroad (Bangalore)
Gen 2 duke duke 390 was 3lkhs onroad (2017, Banglore. Since it was introduced in 2017, considering 1st batch price)
Gen 3 would be atleast 3-3.3lkhs ex showroom price.

KTM should come up with Twin Cylinder for 300 and above bikes, this small but major change will shake the market and for good, people will go for KTM, for a more refined twin engine and sound which it will produce.. I'm hoping for the same, if yes then I'll surely think of going for duke 300/390..
twin cylinder would make no only the bike more costly but also reduce the mileage. I guess it isnt worthy when they took more power in 1 cylinder than the twin cylinder rivals. If they do it, I hope they keep this one cuz its the beast I love. Lighter, stronger, and a great mileage
“Small” ? Stay in school bro, you definitely need an education. The RND it takes to design a new engine alone is more than you will ever learn. Forget about overheads, logistic, suppliers, testing. I know nobody in your whole family is an engineer, bu5 sta6 in school and learn about commerce at least 🙏

I heard Bump in CC frm 373 to 399 and 43.5 to 45 BHP it has Increased no Torque Change Though of 37 NM
I readed that they retuned the 390 engine so it can became more refine and i also readed that it gonna be like 45 bhp and 40 nm of torque so i think it gonna make the street burn😅

Yes ktm duke390 needs new design From the moment duke250 gets the same look as duke390 Duke390 lost its value its uniqueness Its not a headturner anymore we need a new unique 390 that is different from 250
I think the exposed exhaust doesn't look that beautiful. Maybe a stylish and compact skid plate might improve the aesthetics.

Just yesterday I did buy the 2023 model Duke 390 🎉😂
New engine design too... This is not the same 390 engine that's now available..
In profile, the bike looks completely out of focus and has lost its charisma though. In addition to these, the offset shock is cheaper option compared to underseat one and eventually agility will be in question. The trellis frame has conceived a bad look and the bike looks less aggressive now. Initial buyers may be there but in the long run, they will lose the momentum.
Any one expecting Power bumps from 390 series KTMs need to understand that KTM is legally not allowed to increase power on the 390 platforms! and it's mainly because of the EU's 0.26HP/Kg Law for an A2 Licence (Beginner Bike) so in order to make more power, they need to increase weight! For example: (Rc 390 weighs 167kgs so 167kg x 0.26hp we get 43.42hp. and that is exactly why RC has been stuck under 44HP mark for ages. and it probably won't change in the near future.

However KTM will do cost cutting things even if we want this design as it is. Or else they’ll hike the price. Only necessarily aspect is side mounted exhaust.

Early pictures are always misleading when it gets colour and graphics everything changes. I was bit worried about the front look as the DRL were not visible or disabled at the time of testing but looks awesome now it’s a mini superduke. I already have 2022 duke 390 silver matte and I love everything about it except mileage 😂
