Yup I remember when every body was going crazy when u mentioned it in your video as one of your favorite varieties. It would sell out so quick on the website you mention everybody wanted one so bad .you inspired me to get a green ischia back in the day by watching your videos it's a nice fig and the colors look amazing but haven't tried it yet hopefully mines fruit for the first time this year .I'm excited and looking forward to tasting green ischia.

Ross you're the one who made this fig famous. Everybody started hating on you. Then others cashed in on the fame, and nobody said c r a p to those people. I just want to say you are the fig boss in the community. By the way, what is your favorite persimmons?

After far too much research, turns out there are actually 3 figs... 1). Verdino Del Nord Tatiana (the one this video is about and coincidentally the one Dan Foster sells on FigBid). Not to be confused with Ross's number 1 fig, but still a good fig). 2). Figoin Bass (Bass' source was NOT Vladimiro Rocco) DoubleBlue on OurFigs confirmed this. He spoke with Bass about this topic specifically. 3). Verdino Del Nord (VR) Which at some point was called Figoin, but Vladimiro Rocco re-named it to Verdino del Nord. - And a bonus fourth one. Verdal Ibiza, it's been said it's similar to 2 and 3 on this list). 2 and 3 are almost identical small italian green figs with intense berry flavor, similar leaves, but can not be ultimately sourced back to the same person. they could be the same fig, but it's not certain.
Youve been having trouble grasping this for the longest time. I explained it to you on figbid. You continue to struggle with this. Figoin (Bass) = VDN (VR). VDN (Tatiana) is an entirely different fig. Dan Foster has the one from Tatiana.
Dan Foster's absolutely is the Tatiana version. I publicly commented about this about a year ago. I'm sure for 100% accuracy sake he wanted to verify that for himself (as he should), but there's no question in my mind and now this video should really 100% prove that point.
Many months ago when I asked him he seemed uncertain but this helps clear that up. From the pics I always assumed it was the Tatiana version. I think many people have bought that one thinking it’s the VR version.
Ross ,do you have any updates on this ? Is it good? I will receive one in a few days and I suspect it is this variety it comes directly from Italy and it s just called "Verdino" it there any difference in the fruit shape? I just wanna know what variety I have 😂

Hey Ross, I have a question concerning the the black plastic bags on some of your potted figs. What is the purpose of it's use?
He mentions in another video that it's to improve heat retention, I believe. Might also have some use as an insect barrier.
