The funny thing is trailers usually make the game seem better than it is. This is the opposite. No trailer can show how damn good this game is.

This game redefined Metroidvania as a genre.
It didn't redefine it, but it sure as hell perfected it. This and Silksong are as far as the bar will go for quite some time I'm sure. Team Cherry can be proud to be the role model for developers from here on out.

yeah, I just bought it on sale...10 hours in I started wishing that I had bought is full price because MAN is this game good!
100hours is a bit too much. The original game may take 50+ hours, which is still impressive for a 10€ discounted game. I'm talking about my experience. Good job team 🍒
16 hours in the game and I'm still finding new zones, new bosses, new enemies, new skills, new charms, new npcs and other stuff. And I haven't even witness half of what is shown in the trailer! This game is fcking massive for an indie title, the best part is it is superb polished, well thought and planned out, also the design is magnificent, story telling is spot on, and story on it's own is compelling. Maybe it's just me but honestly I swear to all gods I haven't witnessed a single bug or glitch or anything that would take me out of immersion or would ruin my experience! I simply love this game to bits and couldn't recommend it more. It is my fav game of this year so far! Another indie gem to add to the collection!

I’ve found one bug. It was pretty funny. One of those walking bushes was on the ceiling of a low overhang and it started walking upside down on thin air instead of turning around or turning the corner. It’s happened several times with the same walking bush so I don’t know if it’s a bug or some kind of secret.
Other than that I can’t really think of any bugs I’ve experienced in the game.

My favorite games in this genre Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and Ori and the Blind Forest (Highly recommend!) And now I have another favorite game in this genre Hollow Knight.

HK is an amazing game but it's very unlikely that it will be looked at the same way we look at Picasso's paintings today.
A dev team consisting of 3 people really went and created arguably one of the best games of all time
to be honest i've never experienced emotions that this game gave me, i think this is best game i ever played.
Im in gaming since early 80´s and this game got straight to my top 3 of all time. Brilliant from start to finish, really serious chills.

I bought this game for myself and in the same day my 7 year old daughter became obsessed. She has drawn me several pics of the Knight and Hornet. Let's just say I had to buy another copy for her and we are waiting for the arrival of Silksong. Go Team Cherry!!!!

Nope. Once she discovered the world of the Little Nightmares 1 and 2 it was over but not forgotten. She has really become quite the artist drawing dark gothic anime. I don't think she has ever beaten a game all the way through honestly. Her Hollow Knight drawing is superb. I wouldn't sell it for a $100.
I know we should cut the game some slack because it's made by an indie developer. But it's unacceptable to release a game with so many bugs. *de de tssss* ;)

@@PaperEater_ i think the reason might be that a massive studio will sell copies now matter how the game is and its less a passion project but many people just working for their salary.
Instead of the game not delievering on the trailer, the trailer hardly shows how big the game is. It's still a wonderful trailer though.

This game is phenomenal. I wish I could go back in time and Kickstart this, but I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled across this trailer. I'm honestly tempted to just GIVE them more money. It is worth WAY more than $15.

@@D0rlisok i thought indie games were made by any other regular company. when i found out that its made by 3 people i instantly bought the game. worth it( i also pirated the game before, but now i uninstalled the pirate version and actually bought the game)
I never cared for Indie Games before, I was blended by 4k and ultra realistic graphics like so many other people are.
But since Nintendo announced its Switch, my eyes are opened again. Open for artistic, brilliant GAMES. I feel like a child again, but I'm 25.
Dear Team Cherry, as soon as you release this game to the Switch, I will istantly buy it.

@@sofussigvardt2962 Because it's not radically different from Hollow Knight, which already protects it's status. The trailer and demo gameplays already showed Team Cherry know what they're doing with platforming and worldbuilding. It's also very unlikely that TC will fuck up at the last second, since they proven themselfes to manage updates well.
Although I have to accept that it's not safe to assume either. TC themselves confirmed they are going through some kind of Content Creep right now which might be worrying.

I have bought this game 4 times now to show my support. Got it on Steam by helping Kickstart it. Bought it again on Steam to gift it to my brother. Bought it digitally on Switch. Then bought it physically on Switch.

I am not a fan of dark, demonic or Tim Burton style games - but this game transcends my bias I am hoping for a physical switch game but if it's digital I guess beggars can't be choosers. So polished looking.

@A random person on the internet agreed, i think increasing the difficulty should mean that enemies have harder attack patterns and the areas are harder to beat(more challenges, new enemies, new traps, puzzles, etc)

FRECKING AMAIZING STORY
This and Cuphead are the best looking games this year. Sure you have games like Battlefront II and COD WWII with technically better graphics, but games like this, with a unique art style aesthetic, are amazing to just look at. Gameplay looks fun too and I can't wait for it to come to Switch.

Not saying that hollow knight has bad art style, but cuphead is more unique. Hollow knight is also better than most indie games graphically, it uses its own style and doesnt stick to the cliched pixel graphics(not that there is anything wrong with it, i just appreciate hollow knight for breaking the norms). Cuphead has good gameplay, but i prefer exploration games.
Looking back at this trailer brings too much nostalgia back and I’ve played the game literally a few months ago

@@duduvenom a few years older than you. Just finished Celeste. Kinda scratches the itch, but mostly in terms of the movement and platforming challenges of HK. Have you found any games close to as good? Like should I even try Tunic?
@@Ryan-mn2dd Kinda late, but Inside and the Little Nightmares games are some great platformers I'd recommend. They're horror Games, and they don't have combat, but they have good puzzles, are very atmospheric just like HK and have bop music.
The best game on earth. Story 10/10. Combat 10/10. Dialogues 10/10. Characters 10000/10. Places 10/10
