    Not a big fan of George Galloway, purely for his Party's policies regarding NATO withdrawal etc, and how his Party "defend[s] the achievements of the USSR, China, Cuba". But, this definitely an enlivening speech from Galloway that I can agree with, as much as I can, for the most part.

    Fitting the entire national Army into a football stadium is mad when you think about it. It puts everything into perspective, we are the knifes they intend to use in their gun fights

      could take a while i had a pretty long experience, started my application in september 2021 anything they sent my way i sent straight back completed within a week at the latest. first time i got invited to the recruitment center was march 2022 so they can check my bmi and give a brief on the assessment center. finally got to the assessment center in may 2022 and passed except i needed to square away a few medical details which took about 7 months alot of the time flogging a dead horse trying to sort it out through the NHS in the end got it sorted privately. then it took another 5 months or so to get to basic training finally which started in may 2023. entirely this entire process took not far off 2 years from application to basic which is stupid. imagine applying for a job and it taking that long to get an interview, in the sort time ive been in i have had the pleasure of seeing the shit admin of the army which is system wide.

      I'm booked for assessment centre next month. Once the medical forms were accepted I gave it a week and then called the recruitment centre to see if there's anything else I needed to do. They called me back the following week to book the assessment centre and the pre assessment briefing at the recruitment centre. That call may or may not have sped things up but it might doing the same even if you just leave a message

    George Galloway does not understand economic comparative advantage when it comes to sourcing military or any resources. Or does not want to understand it. He also glosses over the fact that it was a Labour government which approved Iraq II (even if Galloway was against that, he still had enough political nous in this moment not to besmirsch his previous party). The problem with Galloway - as with may politicians of his ilk - is that he can be correct in the broad strokes, and false in the detailed work. But that's nothing more nor nor less than we can expect from the political class, to which Galloway unequivocally belongs.

      I couldn't even tell you how long my application has taken now. Every time I call, I get told that it's still going through checks. At one point, they told me to make a whole new account and apply again to "speed things up".

    The problem with the Army is just the same as with politics. You can point the finger all you like at “Donkeys”, but who elected them? If you want better leaders, be one.

    George Washington, a former British soldier, and arguably the greatest British soldier in history who fought for British glore in the French and Indian war and the father of great Britian, would be very disappointed in todays British army.

    • @MilitaryFitness

    • @austinshannon4197
      @austinshannon4197 4 месяца назад

      Yeah as a matter of fact he was so disappointed in it that roughly 20 years after the French and Indian war he was so disappointed of the British army taking away British Americas god givin rights that he declared independence from Great britian and created an army to literally destroy the British army( his own former army.
