American-greek gyros are a thing, and so are english-indian doner kebabs, this version lies somewhere closer to the latter, inspired by the 1.3 MILLION kebabs A DAY eaten in the UK bityl.co/FnQc
Never stop never stopping! The algorithm showed me your pizza video, then this and I’m hooked! I can’t believe I’m one of the first 4,000 subs. This channel is gonna be huge!
This is the best naan bread ive ever seen. Way above restaurant level and it was the first time I cooked it. I only make your dough for my pizza as well. Keep the vids coming please
I have some designs in mind. Check the banner on my channel page. Stuff like that. Plus a few choice catch phrases. Channel memberships next, then merch
Thank you Capt Kwirky (see what I did there?!). Very informative again. You could turn each section of this into a series, as it sounds like you have even more tips on each step. Everything could culminate in the final product. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & experience!
I do. You may have named the character. They all have names. Pizza ballerina, Afrollon, fatty Voorhees etc. The series idea is a good one for future videos, thank you!
I LOVE your videos! I'm going to try your gyro and naan, and also your NYS pizza. One tiny correction - trigeminal = tri-gem-i-nal - only reason I know this is it is also a kind of neuralgia and I have that problem. LOVE your science, btw. I'm a new fan!
Another great video pal , great tip on the iceberg lettuce , the final product looked incredible , will deff be trying this out, great editing and description as usual. congrats on the success hopefully the hangover wasnt too bad 😅
@@rollonfood No that's actually the closest thing you have to a Gyro. :D Greek gyro is pork shoulder and pig fat sliced into large flat pieces and stacked on a skewer. Sometimes a few layers of lamb are added but not often. Gyro is not a ground meat product. That was Americanized and looks similar to what you made. Here is a decent video showing it. Don't get me wrong 9/10 times when I go for Gyros I get something similar to what you made and enjoy it but as I mentioned it's not close to real Gyro. ruclips.net/video/r9zg0lowifY/видео.html Tzatziki is yogurt or sour cream in most cases that is wrapped in cheesecloth and put in the fridge overnight hanging over a bowl to release all it's water. You do the same thing with finely chopped cucumber to get rid of the water. Next day you end up with a very thick type paste from the sour cream. Add a bit of olive oil, the cucumber, a little finely chopped garlic and mint. Some people like myself also add a little fresh lemon juice. Tzatziki should not be fluid at all but kinda like the consistency of wet concrete. Toppings are generally thihly sliced or chopped tomatoe and cucumber, tzatziki and french fries although they aren't authentic.
Meaning how you'd find doner kebabs in England. Just like a lot of Indian foods are anglicized. Probably should have been clearer. "But prepared the way they do in England" felt like too many words

Looks like a good Donair, but far from Gyros.
Because of the naan?

"British twist"... not very British, lol.
