Great interview. A fan of Scroobius since his first album, but didn't know about his podcast or stutter. The lines "I'm really speechless but I speak less than you might imagine/ Sometimes I stutter and I sputter like the words are catching" now make complete sense.
I came here because I have loved the guy's music for the last 7-8 years and it's wonderful to see someone putting the P back into raP music. In fact he's the only rapper/hip hop inspired musician I have in my music collection. (To many guns, bitches and bling out there for my taste.) I wasn't disappointed, he's as lucid and intelligent as he is on record. Have to say though that the interviewer is brilliant. A genuinely intelligent journalist that has a planned structure, but then gives the source the freedom to speak & then reacts to the various tangents the conversation rolls down. That is very rare these days, just ask SP about the death of journalism. ;-) It can't be easy to make an interview 'sound' like a relaxed conversation, good work!
I have seen Pip down the Den watching Millwall a few times he seems like a really nice bloke who has followed his own path ,good interview Big Salute ..Coyl
Saw him and Dan Le Sac playing at Zoo8 and had never heard of him before, think they blew a lot of people away that day. Bought Angles not long after that
I know this is a bit old now, but I was watching it and had to turn it off with how much O'Brien interrupts Pip. For someone that struggles to get words out, that's extra not on. Struck me as so disrespectful I couldn't continue.
Eminem writes words with crayons compared to this pure artist, Sleaford Sods are mere 1% pretenders. Make him Poet Laureate , I don't really want him to have the fame he fucking deserves as i like him being a cool secret for just us.
