When sheep say "baa" it's called "bleat"-ing. Great video, one of my favorite trails

Are they still doing the car shuttle service? Contemplating flying up to do the trail and leave a rental car to drive back to the Airport.

Great video! I am getting my gear ready for my hike. And my father grew up in a house across the street from the Children's home in the mid 30's and 40's. Not sure if it's the same location but good luck to you.

Great video! I'm planning the same trip for the second week of December. Starting to get all my cold weather gear in check. They told me they're doing construction on the Pruitt bridge, so the trail is temporarily ending at the Ozark campground. My brother and I floated part of the Buffalo last year and I completely fell in love with the area. You're right, it IS a treasure! Incidentally, I noticed your last name - you're not related to some of the Woodall's that married into the Herron's and Horn's from Amity & Kirby, Arkansas are you? My mom's maiden name is Herron and her paternal grandmother was born a Horn. My grandfather's family were all from that southwestern part of Arkansas. Anyway, terrific video. Well done.

My set of Woodall’s are all from Bradley County! Thank you for the comment, and for the info on the BRT! We are planning an early December East to West hike as well!

Would you attempt this trail in January?

All depends on weather. When I did the trail it got down in the 20’s and I was fine. Have a good layering system and a good plan if it rains. There is also plenty of opportunities to get off the trail if you need to.
