The KTM RC 390 is powered by 373cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 42.9 bhp and a torque of 37 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, KTM RC 390 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This RC 390 bike weighs 172 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.7 liters.

Both are awesome and equal machines! It all depends on the gear shifting on them. R3 has the advantage of 2 cylinders and a very high revving engine while the Rc has the legendary high compression ratio and the magical power of the single cylinder. All in all love both bikes❤.

Yes, KTM could be a beast within its own segment, that is, with its single cylinder 370cc engine. R3, being a parallel twin cylinder packing a 321 cc engine is already competitive rival with what it has. R3 would rip RC 390 apart if it had a similar cc Engine.
Similarly, KTM would also be a beast if it had a dual cylinder engine.
No matter what, R3 would be the more refined, smoother and be a lot cooler and under less pressure compared to RC when, cruising 120, 150+km/hr speed.

Why people don't understand that speedoerror isn't because of motorcycle...it is because of owner...R3 comes with 140/70 R17 stock tyres from Yamaha and people upgrade it to 150/60 R17 for bigger apperance ...rear sprocket is calibrated with speedometer... obviously circular mass and rotating matters for error...my friend got an R3 with 150 section tyres...we switched it to 140/70 and difference is felt instantly...bike used to clock 199 and now reaches 186/87 casually and no my dear...no 390 or even Ninja 300 overtakes it now...get an R3 with stock profile tyres

There is no problem with that r3. Only dumb people think that r3 is more powerful that rc390 . What do the specs say ,rc has 43ps and 34nm of torque and r3 only has 42ps and 27 nm of torque. Indians really need to understand that it's not the no of cylinders that make power , even if it's single cylinder power output at the rpm curve is what matters. Indians are technically unsound and don't understand mechanics

I think the real competitor of Yamaha R3 is Honda CBR 250RR. KTM Rc 390 is not even in the league when it comes to engine refinement. YAMAHA, HONDA & SUZUKI are on another level. Japanese engines are way ahead, Must say.

Can someone explain me aboue the Speed. R3 was doing 183, yet the RC doing 165 was crossing R3. Doesn't make sense unless either one has a faulty meter.
