    Can you also do a video afterwards showing the effectiveness of the work you performed and if it was worth it. Thanks

      You spent 10k on a bike, and air filter is a mendatory service replacement. Air filter cost like 50€, show some love to your bike and thank the nice guy who made a tutorial on how to change the filter.

    Is it just those two side filters or is there a big one in the box under the tank

    Seen another video of this being done they only removed right hand side fairing, slackened off air duct work and moved it out off the way and replaced filter without removing all those panels.

      You have to remove the front nose cowling for sure it covers the main fastener supporting the air ram. You can get away with just removing one fairing side. Why Ducati doesn't have a lift off gas tank to remove air filter from the top like 99% of other bikes #becauseDucati.

      Thanks Andy I see what they did. Removing that black cover that sits on top of the air ram I found to very difficult to remove; it also has tabs that slide inside of the front cowling I am very curious how they removed that. None the less very clever would save some time for sure if you can do it without cracking anything.

    Thanks: great video. Short sweet, clear. Planning this soon, the video helps my setup. The service manual technique includes removal of nose fairing, but guess there are different ways: I'm doing it like you just did! The service manual doesn't give the broad view of entire bike like you do. Happy there are people out there like you to help someone just getting used to a new bike: this is a notch more complicated than any bike air filter I've changed in past!

    Ive been told by the i bought my 848 from that a k & n filter or other filter that needs to be oiled was bad for the bike. Something about the oil getting into the bike and causing damage. Have you heard of this? What are your thoughts on it?

      @brotheus6310  6 лет назад +1

      Triggerman1820 unless the filter gets over oiled maybe. K&n is very reputable they have been around for awhile I've been a k&n fan for awhile

    The original air filter seems like it can be cleaned. Can you clean it similarly to a K&N? And would you also have to apply the oil like a K&N?

    • @brotheus6310
      @brotheus6310  6 лет назад +2

      No no big no no! The OEM air filter was not intended to be cleaned and reused you will damage the air filter in result damage your bike. Get K&N or just buy another new OEM filter very small maintenance expense.

    Did you have to reflash the ecu? Thanks for another informative video

      No need to reflash for just air filter.
