greetings from Thika Kenya.... most audio installers are SPL and some of us need Sound Quality. This is a quality video, as always

I'm sure a good DSP amp and a sub could give really decent results with the factory speakers. There are some really high-end home hifi speakers that use very basic drivers. IMO as long as the speaker can produce the required frequencies at a acceptable SPL then pretty much any speaker can sound impressive. I'm currently running the factory midbass with Faital widebands and with some EQ and alignment/phase from a DSP amp they sound amazing, better than the Alpine X-type and JL systems I have had in previous cars.
I think you should do a video seeing what can be achieved by just adding a DSP amp and sub to a factory system.

@@WolfAbarth Running aftermarket amps and DSP on factory speakers is not something we recommended so wouldn’t make a video on it. We wouldn’t warranty that and it’s better to just have better speakers as you can see in the video. Adding a DSP would improve it but if you are doing the job fully then replacing the speakers are part of the job.

You are 100% correct a dsp on a factory system even using something like matchup range improves the sound so much. The key is tuning the system but this won’t make shops money so certain ones wont do it.

@@Adrimo911 I'm running a 6 channel MATCH amp in my system. Tuned it with a mic and REW and it sounds amazing.

Some of Hybrid Audio's baskets were made of plastic, and Scott Buwalda (ex CEO of HAT) still holds the highest score ever in IASCA … so ...

@@markaguilar4103 we post content on cars we work on. We do also have content on other cars, like the Yaris Cross video recently. We capture as much as we can on all types of cars that we work on but yes we do get some lovely cars in. :)
