How does the neck thinness compare to the Kramer Focus VT-211S ? By thinness I mean measuring the neck from fingerboard to back of the neck (not the wide of it). Thanks
I liked the neck, pickups and trem. Didn't care for the flat top body. I personally prefer the Pacer, just for the body contours. Overall, I liked the Striker. If still looking at different brands, I would personally look at an Ibanez RG450/470, Jackson JS32 & SBS SS260 from GuitarFetish.
Hello, I speak a little English after a year, what do you think, does the Floyd Rose go out of tune or not? Would you change any defect over time, some tuning problem, do you think it would be good for a second guitar (I'm looking for a Floyd Rose) 😊
@@julio12380 The top of the guitar is entirely flat. Some guitars like strats, Ibanez RGs and others, have a contour for your arm instead of being flat across.
Looks and sounds great Ben. You have the worst luck when you get a new guitar. Do you think part of the problem is with your local carriers? They obviously don’t pay attention to which way is up on the deliveries.
@@benpowersguitar weird! The only time I have had any damage was on a used guitar that showed the damage in the photos. I’ve had shipments delayed a few times, but the always arrive in the condition I expect.

I am honestly not sure. They were all the same color ball end. They are 9's, I know that. I always change my strings, even on a new guitar, to my preference of Ernie Ball. But the factory strings seemed fine.

Got this guitar in red today, maple neck, played for a bit. Good sound for 80’s speed and thrash metal
That color is popping! Finish looks great
Thank you Philip. I appreciate you watching.

I cannot give you a measurement as I don't own both guitars any longer. However, to my hands, the striker felt a little thinner and faster.
@@benpowersguitar Thanks. I'm seeing conflicting info on nut widths of the strikers online. 1.626" or 1.693" , what do you think?
@@sourayanbiswas4591 It's a Floyd Rose R2 nut. Which means 1.625"/41.3mm. Straight from Kramer and Floyd Rose.
Cool! Nice guitar!
Which guitar would You choose between this, jackson js32 and Ibanez 470/jem jr? I play pantera
Personally I would take the RG470/Jem Jr.
Dope lag shirt! The new strikers great alternative to the 80s strikers.

Can u tell me what do you think about this guitar

Is this guitar good for thrash metal? Does it have the "punch",heaviness?
I liked it for heavy music. It and Jackson both did well for that, at least to my ears.

It holds tune really well. My biggest issue with the guitar is no arm contour.
@@benpowersguitar What do you mean by "is no arm contour?" I repeat, I speak little English.

Honestly it has been this way all over the country for me. Especially with guitars. I usually have great luck with amps and pedals though:)

Beautiful guitar 🎸💥👍🔥
I'm actually planning on getting this guitar for Christmas, does the Floyd rose stay in tune.
It stays in tune excellent.
@@benpowersguitar thank you
Definitely red, Ben! Nice. Damn shame you had to do a few things to get it set up and playing correctly - worth it tho, sounds great.
Thanks man. Yeah, it sounds pretty good now that it's playing :)
Could I ask the cost of it?
Not at all. I paid $300 plus tax on reverb.
If I may ask, how did you solve the issue of the trem arm socket coming loose? I bought the guitar recently and found the same issue
There was an adjustment screw on the trem block. Had to take trem out to adjust it.
@@benpowersguitar I tried that but it keeps coming loose. I tried Teflon tape around the screw and it seems to be working for now
