    Hey man, just got my Goosky S1 the other day. After watching this video I decided to get one. I’m sure glad I did. It flies so nice. Very stable and easier to fly. Bonded to the Spektrum NX7e. Love that transmitter. And the IPhone App works great with it. Was able to fine tune and adjust it to my liking. Thanks for ur vids. Always love watching them 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻Possibly Goosky RS 4 next!!!

    PSA: if you’re prone to crashing you should do the servo saver mod and save your servo gears.
    You just cut the back end of the servo horn so it can take the force of a crash and all you have to do is realign your servo horns

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  8 месяцев назад +2

      I remember that tip from back in the old one 80 days lol with the metal gear Servos that are in these little helicopters you will break a horn before a gear set. The horns are sacrificial and designed to break, but that tip does work on plastic gear servos great!

    HEY EVERYONE! I recommend getting the Microheli anti-rotation guide for this little monster. The stock one is plastic and the pins to attach the canopy is part of it which is definitely the weakest part of this roided out heli.

    Hey. No telemetry right? Any way to activate telemetry if I a Radiomaster TX16S? Painless360 said in another video that no telemetry available if using the SFHSS protocol and that to me sucks because I have battery telemetry with tiny Nano S3 and the TX16S.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  3 месяца назад

      I can comment on if there is telemetry or not when using a TX16S. I do know the app shows battery voltage so it’s definitely talking but I’ve yet to see anyone who actually has telemetry on there radio. But it could? I don’t use a TX16S anymore.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  8 месяцев назад

      I did that on my first M2. Works great. Just unplug it and plug it back in. You’re good to go. Lol the boom is significantly smaller on the S1 but I’m sure there’s some kind of micro plug that could be used.

    Jeff one thing with these micros and adding a Spektrum satellite, I am having trouble finiding a Spektrum satellite cable that is the appropriate length (short). You mentioned you made a cable for yours. Where can I find the appropriate tools and connectors to make my own? Or do you sell them?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  8 месяцев назад +2

      That is a problem! They don’t make them this short. So on this one I did it the “easy” way lol I just cut it and solder back together. But I do make and crimp them when I need to. It’s just a pain because the wires and crimps are so small! But that’s a idea! Maybe I should start making the. And selling them.

    Do you think it would be possible to modify a S1 tail motor to go on my M1? I really like my M1 however the tail performance just isn't there. Where they are so similar though, do you think I could just buy a tail assembly for an S1 and put it on my M1 for that extra tail motor size? I really don't feel like buying the entire S1 even though I might eventually cave due to having more features than the M1.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  8 месяцев назад +2

      Sure! Anything can be done! It would not be hard to modify that tail motor to fit on an M1. What I’m curious about is if the Esc/FBL has a faster rhythm that helps keep the tail so solid.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 if the goosky tail blade is bigger or has more pitch and will fit the m1 I believe that will solve the problem. I put M2 Evo main and tail blades on my M2 explorer and its now rock solid and flies sooo much better. I use upgraded batteries and do not have any over heating problems. I strongly suggest it for all M2 models. Micro heli blades make a small improvement but not nearly as good. I also tried the M2 Evo tail motor on my M2 explorer but like he said the ESC is not turning it faster and the CG was off so no improvement there. I hope that helps you.
