2024 Fort McMurray Canada Day Parade

Welcome to our video covering the vibrant 2024 Canada Day Parade in Fort McMurray!
Join us as we celebrate Canada's birthday with the community, showcasing the diverse and exciting events that took place on July 1st. The parade started at 10:30 a.m. on Main Street, headed south on Franklin Avenue, and concluded at the corner of Riedel Street and Clearwater Drive. One of the highlights was the Sensory Friendly Block, where floats and walking groups turned off their music and sirens from 10:15 to 10:30 a.m., creating a welcoming environment for those with sensory sensitivities.
The parade featured vibrant floats, community groups, and local performers, all celebrating the spirit of Canada. Additionally, the festivities continued with various family-friendly activities at the SMS Equipment Stadium at Shell Place, including face painting, bouncy castles, a craft carnival, obstacle courses, food trucks, and free birthday cupcakes!
