This why I’ve stuck with Adobe. I got everything you said but that was so complicated I can’t see a beginner getting it. If I didn’t have 15 years experience as an engineer I would’ve been lost wavy. Headed to do a session tonight for a client that’s intent on using protools I’m sure a few things in this video will help me. Definitely a great refresher for someone intermediate

IDK what happens but when I change the tempo like in the video my whole beat slows and not like you would want it to. Auto Key 2 old me the tempo was 74 so I changed it to that and it makes it sound screwed lol please tell me what I am doing wrong !
Yea so I can’t really get past the first five mins.. on my playback engine screen I don’t have the same options he has .. my playback is set at “windows audio device” it doesn’t give me the option to change it and I can’t change the h/w buffer size.. if anyone can help I’d appreciate it fr thanks in advance
Does anybody know how the course works? Do deadlines take into consideration that you may have a ft job + children and responsibilities? Like is there a big enough window to allow a person with priorities to submit work and take exams?

For instance, I use Mixpad from NCH software, been using it for 20 years now, I wanna know basic HAAS technique and other ways to intensify the vocals more while keeping them as clean as possible. Hey Wayne, I've watched a couple of versions of this video now. (Good job btw) and I'm the kind of guy who will watch the video one step at a time and follow the instructions as you explain them. In both versions of this video you show importing your beats. My pro tools, my computer, my interface...whatever, has no beats for me to choose from. I've went online and tried to download plug ins or whatever but I'm getting nowhere. I've seen apps where you can get and have access to a bunch of different beats and samples but I download them and still...no beats. I'm stuck at that step.
Hey man great video, I have a question what happens when you hear yourself lower in volume when putting on a pair of closedback headphones? Is there anything you can do for this? What I mean is that there are parts that I tend to overs sing without understanding that I'm pushing my voice to its limits (when it comes to volume) but I wouldn't have used so much of it (volume again) if I could listen to myself with the same detail as when not using headphones. My vocal chain is pretty much the same as you display here with the exception of using a BF-76 plugin. Also my headphones are a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 at 250Ohm. Any suggestion would be extremely helpful
Yo Wavy I have a question…I see people turn the beat down from the “clip gain” on the beat but here I see your using the fader…but is that misleading since the faders are pre-fader? I’m confused lowkey lol

First time recording in pro tools. Having issues with my vocal volume being extremely low. Not sure if i set the microphone up wrong or if I am just missing something ? Help
This helped me understand how to build a session from scratch however the tempo is wrong when I put the instrumentals with the right tempo but it sound like a Dj screw track and my voice once done recording after recording out of curiosity sounds like a chipmunk when playing it back then the instrumentals plays normal

Any modern mirrorless camera can give you this quality! Just get a good lens based on how far the camera will be from you.

Are you changing the tempo before or after you import a track? Because I believe the tempo has to be set before anything is added

I always chose “add” bcuz I thought that what was supposed to be done. Now I know to use “copy “ to import the file

Both can work for different reasons but the clip gain is good.

I turn my monitors off directly from them before I record and listen on my Sony Closed Back Headphones
