Jack, you had like, 50 Energy. You could use energy to upgrade times, then when you recycle it you get 20 Chemicals for crafting more Soups.
Also, when choosing options for decisions if it's a group decision there will be a little group icon in the bottom left corner of the choice.

You had a gun to use when approaching the celestial body. Jack... you also dismantled your shovel when you could've made soup....
Don't rush this game, you need patience to survive. Your people went insane because you destroyed useful items for no reason and refused to use items when you could've. You also never upgraded anything, choosing instead to do nothing if you couldn't craft soup or dismantling useful items.
Patience is key in this game. Read all text, you can cut them out if they repeat. Please...
It's painful watching you hover over the proper or better choice then choosing the worst possible option.

Ionn Eetall yeah it’s really frustrating to watch him play games and mess up a lot.
RUclips is a high-energy, fast-paced place. Especially in gaming sections. So when a high-energy "Speed is key" person, like yourself, plays a low-energy "patience and attention is key" game, there's almost always cringe material.
It's not that Jack is bad at the game or shouldn't play it if he enjoys it. The game simply doesn't fit Sean's playstyle or personality, making the cringe. I see the intro and that's him enjoying himself. The gameplay doesn't appear to be enjoyed by him.
I love you Sean, and maybe I'm wrong, But perhaps play what you enjoy that suits you? You can do compilations of intros perhaps, or an extended intro for games, as you're amazing at them and seem to enjoy those. Or perhaps maybe play the games that aren't quite you in a persona, so people don't think you're failing at a game, but acting a role? Just a few opinions from one who watches you almost religiously lol.
I hope you know I'm not trying to hurt or insult or complain or anything like that. I only want to help someone I care about.
I know this is old but it's pretty funny how Tom's metals/decorations (even before he goes nuts) is made out of soup cans

Me too, first time it happened to me, weird
"Ok what do I need for those?" Nothing, you can craft soup now "Ok, 10 of those" Proceeds to recycle something instead of crafting soup. I suppose it's easier to see when watching rather than playing though.
Tips whit food:
1. You can survive 2-3 days while starving. on 3-4 day your crew will get sick if not feeded and on 4-5 days they will die. If crew starts starving on failed mission they can only starw 1-2 days. This is based by random but mostly they can made 3 days on starving (basicly 2 if starting day not counted).
2. In survival mode you can dismantle 2 soups to make 4 out of them but it will take some days while crafting and upgrading and recyling stuff so it needs to make in start of game.
3. In survival sending some one exloring they bring back 4 cans of soup at first visit on places. Upgrading your spacesuit will unlock mores places to discover, but before sending enyone out they will ve fed or they will not come back.
I'm loving the intros to this series! It feels so much like a 50s Serialized Show.

You need to be crafting more according to their needs, like every time possible. Like health kit and soup. If you want to survive longer and increase your likelihood of winning the game
Thus ends abruptly yet another series. I didn't hear "I'm addicted to this game", so this caught me completely by surprise. It was a good game, though, I really enjoyed his portrayal of it and how ridiculous it would be if it were real life. These people aren't astronauts, they're trailer park dregs in space. Jack definitely made them as real as possible, and it's sad we'll never see another episode of this, 60 seconds, or even one episode of FTL, which I was thinking of the entire time I watched this series.

Apparently, in this game, you can build up friendships with crewmates, and that is very important. A good friendship lvl sort of opens up some doors (of fortune, like soup cans in a hidden stash), it seems. So reducing the number of crewmates you start with doesn't seem to help anything bcs that means having fewer ppl as options.
First Aid kits seem to be super important in this game, it'd probably good to stock up on that.

Hey Jack, don't forget that you can also use the crafting station to upgrade things also, each person you pick has a special "Experimental" ability, Emmet makes 2 of each resource every day, DeeDee's hunger decays slower, Baby can make friends easier, Maegan is less likely to suffer from poor health, and Tom is less likely to go insane. Keep up the PMA!

Hey Sean! A pretty good team I've seen is Emmett, Baby, Tom, and DeeDee. I definitely think you need DeeDee, Baby, and Emmett, and I think it helps if you have a fourth person, so you have three to four people to send out to missions rather than one or two. Hope this was helpful!

Soup is really important, you can just feed everyone every three or four days, also, meds, fighting gear(armor and gun) can be good for conflict but also for getting materials. Make sure to get LOTS of materials in the beginning to craft more useful items later(and make more soup). Those are my best tips! 😁

Jack, if you choose the mode where you can manually drop items into the hatch, you can take the prep-time to walk you character into the items and nudge them to the hatch. Than once the countdown starts, drop all the items into the shuttle and than grab your crew members. Be careful of walls, items can get wedged into them.

If I'm remembering correctly, if soup isn't craft-able but other things are, you can make that cow statute, recycle it the next day and get the materials to make soup. It's a bit of a long process though, but it's something.
