Great reaction! Thanks for some TARJA Era Nightwish! A newbie, I discovered NW with Floor, GLScore and Wacken 2013. But I *fell in love* with NW with TARJA, Phantom and End Of An Era 2005.
So, more TARJA reactions, please! EOAEra 2005 is a great intro to #TarjaEra live performances. The concert has so many fab songs, all excellently performed by TARJA and the band. In addition to Phantom, my other EOAEra faves include Nemo, The Siren, Wishmaster, Planet Hell, Slaying The Dreamer, Bless The Child, Sleeping Sun, Creek Mary's Blood, and Over The Hills And Far Away - all excellent live performances! 🎵 ☺️

Nightwish has a very large catalogue. The group's first work was recorded by its founders: Tuomas, Emppu and Tarja. It's an acoustic demo from 1996.
Usually people suggest the live performances, which are really wonderful, but if you stick to them, you'll never know many wonderful songs. I will list the band's studio discography, specifying the corresponding vocalists:
1 - Original demo (1996) - Tarja
2 - Angels fall first (1997) - Tarja - this would be the band's second demo, but it became their first album.
3 - Oceanborn (1998) - Tarja
4 - Wishmaster (2000) - Tarja

So awesome Gary Moore song done by Nightwish. The legendary line-up up to 2005 who made NW globally big starting from a camp fire and school band level in 1996. Rest is history. Metal Mozart Tuomas writes grand music and here a tribute cover too. Do more...also the older material to get deeper view...they really started from 1996. Tarja has music university grade for singing and the boys can play what ever music at grand level. Marco is also brilliant singer. Check for instance "Phantom of the Opera" and "High Hopes". No ...they are from Finland....Kitee - nothing to do with Norway. By the way...check also music video of this.

Please do show her the Phantom of the opera from the same end of an era concert. And some of Tarja`s solo stuff. She is amazing vocalist. If you really want to know her as an artist, please check her classical stuff as well, like Mein Herr Marquis or Ave Maria. She even wrote an Ave Maria herself.

You Need to introduce NW's current front woman Floor Jansen to the beautiful congost of yours. She is the best female vocalist i current time in metal. Most versatile on her voice too. Alissa White-Gluz, Sharon Al Del from Within temptation is other and Simone Simmons from Epica. These ladies are top 3metal/symphonic metal singer's
Great singers, but Floor is more pop metal with NW. Tarja, Simone and of course Sharon are the flag bearers of symphonic metal. I've only hear a little from Allissa. 90 percent of it is growling, not exactly symphonic metal. Not saying she's not great mind you. I love her duet with Tarja.
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 you and your pop metal. In Wacken when had to sing such song's since many songs were Anette era song's and she was pop metal singer more. If you check The charismatic voice's Elizabeth's explanation on Floor she says that Floor can do it all. But example new album very little has any "pop songs". You seem to be out of touch what she is able to do with her voice. Listen How's the heart and try saying it's pop song. It has much harder lyrical gymnastics than any pop singer ever could do. And in Santa Terra try to explain that as pop. You ignorent Coach Mike's. If you can sing so fucking good do better then and let's see if you can sing Wacken catalogues better remembering that sole were Tarja era song's, some Anette era. But new album is full of Floor getting to sing with her classical styles, Sure some new songs have little less rock, but they have hard vocals also. How about you sing Ghost love score with your head voice and softly in beginning and after mid part sing operatic parts and then rock part. And in very end i doubt that you can do that. So maybe stay in the lane you know. I'm so sick of you trolls, or maybe you were huge Tarja or Anette fan and are mad that Floor gets all the hype now, and is considered worldwide 1 of the BEST female singers in metal. So go to sleep dude.
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 And have you heard Floor do duet with Simone on Mater Dolorosa? That's full on opera. Tarja kennot symphonic singer, never was, she's a opera singer. And to be truthful Floor bettered many songs from Tarja era song's because I've been in NW concerts since 1998 and many songs with Tarja were such that if you didn't know lyrics by heart you didn't understand what she was singing. I give Tarja props on many songs still, Nemo, and many other songs were and will always be Tarja songs for me. I loved her when she was in the band, but was disappointed on fact that she really didn't take part on name rehearsals, and in last yrs she became too much of a diva
@@janihaavisto9320 lol you realize symphonic metal was literally created by Tarja? And yes I have heard Floor's duet with Simone. It's nice. But she has no power in her head voice. She's great with belting, but has to cut too much power to hit the high notes. It hollows out her sound. It's why she sounds so weak compared to tarja at the end of songs like Slaying the Dreamer or like the end of Phantom with Henk Poort.
Yes - that's the way to introduce someone to Nightwish - a singer who left 17 years ago and a song composed and sung by someone else ! Do keep up. Tarja is a great singer and Gary Moore's original was excellent but not very relevant to Nightwish's stunning current music
