My favorite drink is apple and kiwi flavored green tea, and I have a collection of, I believe 6 so far, large mugs depicting different birds (sparrows, a peacock, penguins, parrots, a flamingo and a few of which I don’t know the English names) and they have details of different colors :)
Jen Campbell We have a vast collection of mugs too. I’ve got quite a few that I’ve painted at ceramic cafes. But my favourite for if I need a really big cup of tea is our F.R.I.E.N.D.S mugs as they’re massive 😁 My favourite teas are chamomile and vanilla chai ☕️
My favourite tea cup is keep calm and hug a pug with a pug design that was given to me during a difficult time. I enjoy reading memoirs and re- reading my favourite classics.
While my mum was in hospital with pneumonia with last summer (I've been her carer for the last ~5 years after she was diagnosed with early onset alzheimers), I was driving home in the evening very tired and stressed and realised there would be no food in the house as I would normally have gone shopping that day, so I popped into Tesco on my way out of the city. I did the weirdest shop I think I've ever done, my brain was so distracted by all the other things I was worrying about, but in the sale aisle I stumbled over a mahoosive mug that just said 'NOT UNTIL I HAVE DRUNK THIS' in big bold white font. I've never felt so seen :'). Bought it on the spot and it's my go-to mug for both my morning coffee and my bog-standard tea.
I've never seen anything better than that typewriter teapot! My favorite tea is a black tea, Millvale Breakfast. It's made by a local shop, and the blend is similar to an English Breakfast, but with a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania twist (although I cannot say what that is!).
Totally agree that reading and tea drinking are a match made in heaven. Being 60, my favourite mug is a very old school Royal Albert bone china beaker. I always think my cuppa tastes better out of the bone china mug. We have quite a good tea culture in Australia now. I generally make a pot of tea with leaf tea in the morning, in my bright red teapot. Tea and teapot from T2 teashops. Modern teapots with built-in infuser baskets make leaf tea almost as easy as teabags.
I'm in the US, but have become a bit of a tea snob, at home I mostly do loose leaf in either my teapots (both from the UK, gifts from my mom for Christmas, including a brown betty) or in my toastea thermos from Adagio teas... I often buy tea when I travel & I do drink fruity teas & tisanes more than say a black breakfast tea (my brother on the other hand prefers Irish breakfast tea, but he's a coffee guy mostly) Adagio does a lovely earl grey moonlight that I really like... and then there's iced tea (a staple here in Texas) when I do fruit, hibiscus, mint... yep, I love my teas & have an assortment of mugs but my favorite is from a pottery in Maine, a "whale tail mug" in beautiful mulicolor glaze...
I’m mostly a coffee drinker and my favorite mug is a Spider-Man mug that I got in a secondhand shop! I love that you found overlap with people who love books, stationary, and mugs - 100% me - although I don’t have too many mugs after moving.. but I always tend to give mugs as gifts hah (or books obviously)
I'm mostly a tea drinker. I used to start the day with one cup of coffee, because hubby would make and pour it for me, but a few months ago I realized I wasn't getting along with coffee anymore, so now it's just tea. Which is fine. I love tea. I have a ridiculous amount of tea - black, green, white, yellow, puehr, herbal, rooibos, matcha.... ALL THE TEAS!!! (My first go to is usually a black tea of some kind.) I will have a hot chocolate on a few random chilly nights, but honestly I'm more likely to make a hot toddy. We also have a lot of mugs. They all fit in one cupboard, unless you count the fact that we have to pull out some of them to make room for seasonal Halloween and Yule mugs. Once you get into tea cups and tea pots, uhm.... I have a tea room. I do actually host tea parties of assorted kinds (although not now, in the pandemic), but mostly I just love them and often set up a small tray with one or another combination of cup and pot and tea cozy - well over a a hundred. But hey, I don't collect shoes. (Okay, maybe I do have a large collection of boots.)
My favorite mug (at the moment) is probably the one my mom got me from our trip to an amusement park right before I went away to college. I also love that the inside is black so it doesn’t get tea stains like all my other mugs! I usually drink either English breakfast tea or Earl Grey.
Love this! I could talk about mugs and flavours of tea all day! I wouldn't trust myself with a delicate mug - but those cups from your brother in law are gorgeous. :) I'm so intrigued by the sound the roasted tea from Japan. I'm a straightforward Earl Grey tea guy, but I love trying out weird berry flavours like there's an M&S berry burst that's good. My favourite mug is whichever is the biggest. When I went to visit my family in December I asked my 12 year old nephew what he wants for Christmas and he said all he wanted was Lady Earl Grey tea from England and my heart melted.
Hojicha is quite easy to find over here. Just hoping it's as good as the one we brought back www.japancentre.com/en/products/851-yamamotoyama-loose-hojicha-roasted-green-tea x
My favorite is rooibos or black chai tea Latte. I find SO many amazing mugs at TJ Maxx or at a (US) Tuesday Morning (very much like TJ Maxx) and I have a whole cabinet filled to capacity and I still cannot stop ooh’ing and ah’ing over mugs!!
Such a lovely collection! My favorite tea mug has a little joke printed on it about the Boston tea party, and my favorite tea is "forever nuts" from a Canadian company called David's Tea.
I love teapigs English breakfast tea. I also love earl grey, and I drink peppermint tea when I don’t feel well. My favorite mug is one I made at a curse word-themed pottery paint night. It’s pink on the outside, bright orange on the inside and has c**t painted in huge black letters on the outside lol
My favourite mug is one that my brother gave me as a surprise gift. It has a little witch on the outside and say witches brew on it which I think is adorable. It also holds around a cup and a half of liquid so it perfect for my morning cocoa. I gave up caffeine a while ago, and haven't found many decaf teas that I like, but recent;y I tried Ty-Phoo's decaf orange peko, my go to before was Red Rose an orange peko that's very popular in Canada, and it is the first that isn't thin and tastes like I remember tea tasting. Thank you for sharing your mug collection. I'll have break out this video the next time my mum accuses me of owning too many mugs
Earl Grey is my favorite and a chai latte sometimes. I have this wonderful big mug that’s yellow with bees on the outside and a bee on the bottom, inside.
You and your collection are simply a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e xx TJ Maxx and Marshalls are hit or miss in the States. I have a large 2 cup yellow large coffee mug that says BOSTON written on it, with a large red heart on the inside that I love. I also have a huge stoneware coffee mug from Hallmark that I received as a gift a few years back. I am dying over your typewriter teapot! (I would like to say I am an aspiring writer!). Love your style of mugs - I love Anthropologie, always have. Hugs from Boston MA - USA
I adore my mummin mug as well. Also my mug of a girl reading in a red dress that I use while reading in a dress though not always red. Unrelated we are sweater buddies.
The moomin mugs are a huge deal in finland! Most families own at least a few and we used to have a full shelf of them. Loved watching this, mugs are so happy
Drinking tea right now of course. My every day tea is Waitrose Gold and I really like Assam loose leaf teas, good strong tea for me! For caffeine free I like apple based teas. I also like cocoa with a little bit of sugar, Cafedirect San Cristobal is perfect. My current favourite mug is one that I painted myself at a pottery cafe. I love my Moomin mug too!
My roommate - who used to live in Japan and who works in a tea store - is crazy about hojicha. I truly loved it as an ice cream flavor. According to her it is possible to get in Europe, but it won't be as good as the kinds you can buy in Japan. Apparently they don't export the really good stuff, because it is barely enough for the demand within Japan. My roommate gets Japanese friends to send it to her - or, you know, just another reason to travel there again ;) (Choose your roommates wisely, my tea supply will never run dry)
I have a Moomin mug as well which I adore. Even though I like the aesthetic of huge mugs I usually don't drink that much tea in one go, and I really don't like cold tea, so the Moomin size is actually perfect for me!
I have several mugs that ive found over the years from bookstores and coffee shops my current go to mug is a white mug with the phase. The key to happiness is good book . Underneath is a drawing of a cat sitting on top of stack of books.
Lovely video to mix it up I think! And as I've said before, your videos sooth me. If I have tea, I always have rooibos in the morning and chammomile in the evening with honey. And I have one teacup I always use, it's white with a blue marble like pattern and I love it.
Jeeennnn! This was such a cosy video. Youre the best! And you're collection is glorious! I made my first batch of tea with my new kettle (in a new mug) and It totally shifted my mood. In case you were wondering I had cinnamon and licorice by Pukka teas. Didn't know it had cocoa in it so I was a bit (pleasantly ?) surprised.
Earl Grey is a favorite - and also vanilla Earl Grey from a Canadian company. Harrod's has some wonderful teas - Apricot and Christmas and Caramel tea. Yum.
That wasn't a small collection at all, and it was very interesting, especially your teapots. I love tea, I rarely drink anything else, but I like fruit and herbal teas the most. I recently tried ayurvedic tea and loved it.
Oh, I love Hojicha but I find it hard to brew right. My favourite kind of tea is Earl Grey, but I also love various green teas and a good English breakfast. 🍵 I relate so much to having a lot of mugs, haha. I'm banned from buying any new ones. 😁 Your collection is lovely, especially the ones from Japan! 🌸 I have two of the Penguin mugs as well. 🐧☕
I tend to drink either English Breakfast Tea Or Darjeeling. I luv Numi, Pukka and Rishi English Breakfast Tea!s. David’s Tea has a pretty good organic English Breakfast as well. Great Video Thank you for sharing.😊
Mugs and tea, a video about my weaknesses! That hojicha is one of my favorites I'm still working my way through my bag from Japan, I drink it only on special occasions. My favorite tea that I have every day is one from the States called hot cinnamon that I can't find here in London so I send giant bags to my friends that they bring on visits like some kind of illicit tea trade. (your teapigs one actually sounds similar, I'm going to have to check it out). As for mugs, the one I live out of is white with rainbow stripes around the outside that says "nobody knows I'm gay." It's exclusively for hot cinnamon tea.
This made me think about just how many teas and mugs I currently own... and it’s definitely a fair few too, haha, I love buying loose leaf tea from T2 and getting novelty tea infusers like manatees and frogs!!
I have quite a few of those penguin mugs & I love a giant teacup from anthropologie. Hot drink wise I've had to go decaf because of meds that I take. I would recommend m&s decaf Earl Grey & Yorkshire Tea bedtime brew which is becoming v difficult to get over here in NI!!
My drink of choice is Tea. I start the day with a cup of Tea and that's my choice for the rest of the day. Like you I have some of the Penguin mugs and I have a lot of the Moomin mugs and my favorite blend is Earl Grey and basically if my body would not complain I would have nothing but Tea and Chocolate during the day.
I enjoy both tea and coffee, depending on the time of day and how cold I am etc. I just had to make my self a cup of tea while watching this. I quite enjoy chai black tea simmered in milk. And I enjoy chunky mugs, not bone china... the more handthrown and rustic the better
Chai tea! Both regular and lattes. With a huge mug, preferably a hand made one! I also have a cupboard with a zillion other teas. Raspberry mojito from David's Tea is a fav, as well as peppermint, chamomile, chocolate chai, and I love a good earl gray mixed with lavender.
I love tea sooo much. Thinking about getting some Barry's tea to germany atm but I feel like the shipping emissions are not really worth it... but yes, strong Irish tea is the best!
I loved this video so much; thank you for making it! I love how often tea and bookishness go together. If you're wanting to expand your tea horizons I would recommend bird&blend and T2 =] I have far too much tea and far too many mugs to the point my partner has tried to ban me from purchasing more! Fun fact - the concentration of clove oil in the 'Winter Spice' tea made me uncontrollably drool down myself like I'd been to the dentist XD
This is mug porn. Phwoar!!!! Hahaha. Thank you for sharing this... though now I want to go and buy ALL the mugs. A few of these I have bought myself because of you. I thought I had it under control. Just had a flashback from deeply uhggghhhh memories of my brothers eating Fireballs and just breathing on me. I never thought I would have that brought back, especially from this!
That typewriter teapot looks like the kind of thing that I'd love to have but would never use. Is it heavy? One of my favorite mugs is a big red one from the Disney store featuring the dwarfs and mine says Grumpy, which is often how I feel in the morning ;-)
What is your tea and mug of choice? x

That typewriter teapot! Omg so cute!
Beautiful penguin set. I love Lady Grey/Earl Grey teas to name a couple.
Enjoyable video.
I’m an English Breakfast tea girl! Builders tea - milk, 2 sugars! I’m also obsessed with mugs & teapots!
I’m mostly a coffee drinker and my favorite mug is a Spider-Man mug that I got in a secondhand shop! Your teapot from Australia is brilliant!
Check out imperial teas of Lincoln. It's my local tea shop. They do some amazing teas, ceremonial tea and all the serving accessories. X
Love this! I could talk about mugs and flavours of tea all day!

You are the perfect convergence of the tea/stationery/books venn diagram
Tea of choice currently is a black & rose blend from my local tea shop in this mug I have with ancient Greek-looking art.
When I saw this video on your insta story I audibly gasped!
Ha! x

Ah, I feared it might not be as good. The regrets, the regrets! As you say, I'll just have to go back at some point (what hardship) xx
I have a Moomin mug as well which I adore. Even though I like the aesthetic of huge mugs I usually don't drink that much tea in one go, and I really don't like cold tea, so the Moomin size is actually perfect for me!
THE ONE DISLIKE IS FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESNT HAVE SUCH PRETTY COLLECTION LOVEDDDD THIS VIDEO
I love hojicha tea especially its nutty and roasted flavor

Your 'monster' mugs would make ideal soup bowls :) I use my larger mugs for ice-cream desserts.
I'm so here for this. I have drunk from multiple of these!
Indeed you have! x
So green with envy
S rummy is new fave word!
AAH! I have the same Moomin mug!!!

I can't resist Yorkshire Tea Biscuit Brew.It is delicious, like dunking a malted milk but without the crumbs in the bottom. What's
not to like!
Chai tea! Both regular and lattes. With a huge mug, preferably a hand made one! I also have a cupboard with a zillion other teas. Raspberry mojito from David's Tea is a fav, as well as peppermint, chamomile, chocolate chai, and I love a good earl gray mixed with lavender.
I love the penguin set 😍😍😍
rimbluebooks SAMEEE
I picked up the Blueberry muffin tea in Switzerland when I was staying there one weekend. I hate it...
I love tea sooo much. Thinking about getting some Barry's tea to germany atm but I feel like the shipping emissions are not really worth it... but yes, strong Irish tea is the best!

I tend to reach for my Irish breakfast tea more than English breakfast surprisingly.. but I’m writing all the way from America so what do I know haha
I have never clicked on a video so fast! love this x
Love all of the hot beverages, haha. Though, coffee in the morning and tea after three pm :)
💟
This is mug porn. Phwoar!!!! Hahaha. Thank you for sharing this... though now I want to go and buy ALL the mugs. A few of these I have bought myself because of you. I thought I had it under control. There is a teapot for your birthday right here. Sending soon. Because I’m rubbish. Also loving that jumper. What’s not to love about every second of this video.
Just had a flashback from deeply uhggghhhh memories of my brothers eating Fireballs and just breathing on me. I never thought I would have that brought back, especially from this!
Ha! Sorry!
I can relate. My mum: you have too many books! You have too many mugs! Why do you have so much stationary?
That typewriter teapot looks like the kind of thing that I'd love to have but would never use. Is it heavy?
One of my favorite mugs is a big red one from the Disney store featuring the dwarfs and mine says Grumpy, which is often how I feel in the morning ;-)
It's extremely light, actually. Surprisingly so! x
I like large mugs , that get me through the chapters .😄
Exactly!
I love tea 💕☘️🍀🌻☕️Irish folk are big tea drinkers . It's really hard to get good tea when out. Tea at Costa is yuck🤢
My mother used to try to mail me tea pots and I begged her to stop because they all would end up heartbreakingly arriving in pieces.
