Best way to travel to the Scillies, better than the SS Scillonian and a damn sight quicker, thanks for sharing, brings back happy memories

Very interesting. I've never seen a plane like that. You are surrounded by beauty. Are the fields surrounded by hedges? Is that some kind of grass or are crops grown there.

Do you recognize the rocky promontories on 2:25 and 2:30? Is either of them Land's End or Sennen Cove?

I've taken the flight from exeter to St Mary's a few times, and in that plane (but from the opposite direction, looks as if your going to roll of the edge into the sea...)

to me, this is exciting! my first airplane ride was in one such as
this....college friends, took a spin around the city area....I was the
only one who was like WHOO!!!! the city was so much more beautiful from
the air. Love the scenes you have. Wish I could travel like this to
every city!! Family shots? The one girl reminded me of the hand-fed
video. How long did the actual flight take?

It was exciting for us too - this was our first flight in a plane this small...and it was great fun although my daughters were a little nervous. The flight took 20 minutes to do the 26 mile journey. We've been over on the ferry a few times which takes 2 hours and 40 minutes.

that's the way you do a flare in a small aircraft like that. It's normal, even encouraged because like this you are landing at the minimum speed, using as little runway and braking as possible. The opposite would be an overspeed landing: destroying flaps, brakes and possibly overshooting the runway.

It sounds like a WW2 German buzz bomb.

You were somewhat heavy handed with those engine controls pre start up. I treat every aircraft that I fly with more respect. I operate them as If I was paying the maintenance bills!
