The Seal, Pitch 2, 5.8 Trad Lead, 4k

Loved and hated this climb... I think it should get more traffic. A couple of fun moves and well worth it. Especially because its a single rap!
No judging my anchor yanking. hehe You know you've done it!
Pitch 2 is a well protected, short and fun 5.8. Find 2 old but good bolts near the middle. Finish on a small ledge with 4 bolts. Rap with a single 70.

Watching that gear get stuck makes me think do you ever lose pieces of gear? Do they get stuck in the rock and not come out?

That happens, yes. For sure. Then you’re down near $100. However, it hasn’t happened to me yet. My follower got this piece out. I just couldn’t do it on the sharp end.

That wire I used at the beginning of this climb was stuck. Prolly for a good 10 years or more. There has probably been dozens of people over the years who tried to remove it.
