I had they in 06 definitely had run it back for the 2020 one my favorite shoes ever
I owned a pair of the 06's when they came out, I was 14. I was so excited for these to wear as tangible memories of those days. I would have bought em either way if I had the money this year, But I did try a pair on, and they seem really thick. Like a pair of 5's or some skateboarding shoes. The fit is so different it's a disappointment.
Wish they would get the same insole as the orig 89 IV's. I have a pair of OG and the insole was most memorable for me back in 89-91...they even used it for the V's, which I also had OGs
Had a pair back in the day when I had the hook up and dogged them out. Miss those and the wood tip 14s

Oh I had those they was my first pair of 4's no joke. Mines was 06 but I cop in 2014.
I like the 2006 ones better I find them to be less chunky and look slimmer on my body
For got to add that the front lace hole wing is more sturdier then the older ones
One of the rare times that the newer shoe is better than the older drop

by far one of my favorites Jordan 4 colorway. my 06 pair brought me so much joy, it was my good luck charm. whenever a shoe release came out, ill put on my black cat 4's, my all-black Jordan basketball shorts, and all-black hoddie to go camping for sneakers and ill always come home successful. I'm really surprised that your 06 pair are in mint condition

The 2020 pair is worth every penny. I love them. I even put some black off white laces in them.

#52K Chris I’ve been wearing mine everywhere for the last month. Mine are still clean. The soles got a few pebbles and blades of grass in them but a brush from the dollar tree can clean that lol
@@528Chris it’s because of the material it’s a swae material and it attracts dust especially the black colorway which is one of the only things that’s sucks about the shoe.
The 2020s are going for 800 dollars, in my size now. Hope you were able to get your second pair.

Man i had these in 2006 i was person in my hood with them and man the old heads use be hype as hell and ppl my age use to hate so hard my i wish i kept my 06 i end up give to a kod in my neighborhood that aint have nothing and mom and dad was on frug and i give them to him in amazing condition and when i said he was so excited and appreciated and start cryin his first pair of jordan now hes a big big Jordan collecter with some amazing unbelievable pair of Js and he a RUclipsr and he always give me my flowers for starting him in sneakers snd all way try give me crazy pair of j he actually buy me yhe black cat 06 and said he owes me this and so much more

Jordan 4’s have been weird for me lately. Got black cements in a 10 and they were way too tight. So when cool grey’s released I got a 10.5 and they’re too damn big. My white cement from 2016 is a 10.5 and fits perfect
2900Luk agreed. The leather on white cement is perfect. Creasing beautifully. That material on the “nubuck” pairs is shit. My winterized 4’s are very nice though
2006 reigns supreme over the 2020. I wore that sneaker to do everything. Hooped on blacktop, drank and spilled beer/alcohol on them several times.
That sneaker is undefeated.

2020 Black Cats would’ve been perfect had they put the “Black Cat” stitching on the heel tab and make a thinner uniformed tongue like other 2020 Retro 4s. They put the OG ‘89 tongue on it which is too puffy making the topline crooked and bulky almost resembling fakes.
It doesn’t make sense. They need to do a recall and fire the design department responsible for this lol

Cracking in the mid-2000s era Retros were not nearly as bad as the 2011 to 2014 era retros the True Blue threes Fire Red 4s black cement 4s were horrendous. My Mars Blackmon Fire Red 4s from 06 did not crack nearly half as bad as the ones that came later

When you start feeling softness to the midsole. If it isn’t firm or seems super dry, it’s about to go.
