Dope. Love my 21’ g20 . Can’t wait to upgrade to the 22’ model . Never have topped out or let alone go that fast in it but crazy to see and hear how smooth and comfortable it seems at such high speed considering it being a 4-banger lol

Nice, stable 162 mph indicated and good acceleration to at least 120 mph. Not bad for the four-cylinder petrol two-litre, although it would be nice to give it a little more juice so it can outrun the Alfa 2.0T, which is fractionally gutsier.
that alfa 2.0 is not that fast from my experience. Back when I had a 2017 Avalon with the v6 I beat one from a dig and roll. I never raced a 330i with my Avalon but i purchased one and it feels faster than the Avalon. I will be on the hunt for an alpha to race now so i can see for myself

There's no doubt that it's a brilliant car. Still, I'm glad I spent awful lot of money for a complete restoration of my 2003 e46 330i. That inline 6 sound is something you'll never get with a 4-banger.
@@likeablelabradoodle4035 there’s nothing to tune with those old inline sixes besides putting headers and an intake/exhaust maybe lol. Beyond that have to get forced induction with a turbo
All engines of the BMW B construction kit are amazing. On the top the i6 engine B57 diesel for efficient distance driving and the B58 petrol for fun driving and petrol heads. I would always spend the money into these engines maybe without full vehicle equipment, because these engines are unique in this vehicle segment. Unfortunately, the gap between the petrol engines B48 and B58 is very high on the G20 platform. Therefor i would select a used F30 with the B58 engine or a new G20 with the B57 engine. The B48 petrol and B47 diesel engines are cheaper and a good compromise, but doesn‘t have the amazing character, which i expect from a BMW engine.

It is a nice car, but i would buy something else with that kind of money. Something with a bigger engine. Don't get me wrong. I don't think that 4 cylinders are bad, but you can get a 4 banger in almost every car. Sure they are fast with this power output and the fuel economy is very good... BUT it doesn't feel like operating a real machine. The 2 liter engine is for an enthusiast like an auto gearbox. Good for normal day life and as a family car. Then there is the manual gearbox with its flaws like being slower than a dsg. But it is just so much more fun, despite being slower. 2l is not the same feeling as a big old i6 engine

The 330i is pretty much the top 3 series, bar the 'M' name models. Other engines are the 320i and 318i, which are both lower performance.

I actually prefer this over the inline 6 engine in the e9x , far more tuning potential in this and a lot more torque down low ,
