What amazes me the most watching Mainoo play is how calm and collected he is every single time he touches the ball. So much confidence and a rare maturity you just don’t see from every single 19 year old. Makes me proud as I played CM and have a great knowledge and understanding of his position. Midfield is the engine room of the entire team! And this kid rarely ever makes a wrong decision. The impact he’s had on the England squad can not be understated. It’s no coincidence they move the ball 10x better through the middle when he’s in the game! This kid has got the whole world in his hands right now and I can not wait to watch him grow !
Kobbie really is the real deal, does all the simple things all the time and then has the odd flash of the incredible on top of it. Just makes the right decision and even if he doesn't or gets a poor ball he doesn't panic. Amazing at 19
Agreed. Made it to OT to watch the Liverpool game last season and was really impressed with Kobbie. The scary thing is that he’s still lacking slightly in physicality ~ once he beefs up aged 21-22 he is going to be an absolute menace. Passing, touch, control, vision, skills is all there already but, yeah, he’s got levels to hit yet and I reckon he will get there too.

I'm not sure about that. Bellingham hasn't been good but you can see a mile off he does have the ability. The way he glides across the pitch, his physical attributes etc. We definitely aren't getting the best out of him in that 10 role though. I'd personally play Palmer at 10 and move Bellingham back a bit into more of an 8 alongside Mainoo with Rice in the dm

Bellingham goes missing in many matches. He is talented, no doubt but at the moment he looks bang average. Other than that important last minute goal he hasn't had any special moment, nor has he contributed much in the game. Even in champions league final, his teammates carried him through. I know he is special but he needs to do much more and be more consistent

He always plays the right pass. Last 2 England games I watch him. He's always running to be offering something always open but they don't just slip it to him. He's class and if they let him have the ball more... he will dictate the whole play.
I love listening to the ABUs trying to make out that Mainoo is overrated, and being unable to admit that he's been easily one of England's best and most consistent players.
Mainoo brings that swag to the team, you could see it with Rice and Foden. After they receive the ball from Mainoo and the way he touches the ball, you see Rice and Foden putting that sauce when they receive the ball.

His class is so evident along with what he has shown everyone to date which is his undeterred level of consistency I seriously do not see kobbie Mainoo producing what you mention, as a bad or poor season, a sign of a gulf in class & ability between him & other more seasoned players is he never seems to fall below a certain performance level or standard that we've come to expect from him. That's a good deal to do with having such a mature temprement alongside a natural ability to not give the ball away & focus to his decision making. What struck me about Mainoo is his weight and direction of pass. It always seems perfect for the receiving player.
Kobbie's most attractive attribute, apart from his football skills, is his humility. A quiet, hard worker. I'm sure it will continue...
