Looks like wan Bissaka might be off to West Ham. That leaves just Dalot for RB. Still just have Shaw / Malacia for LB. I think Lindelof is versatile and on a reasonable wage. Keep him. Cassimiro will hopefully hit the road too and that'll be good for the kitty!

Ugarte loan this season with obligation to buy would solve budget issues this season. If that can be done and we pay the clause fee for Amrabat or maybe Rabiot on a free, midfield looks a bit more beefy.

@@playedout148 It seems like he could be but he’s a mainstay for France, he’s a decent player and if the finances were right, on a free he’d be a good option to bolster an area we have literally nobody after Mainoo and Bruno who’s really that good. Casemiro past it, Mount as yet unproven in a United shirt and Scott McTominay who should have left last summer are our options at senior level.

Apparently Madrid let us have yoro if we sold them maguire at cut price deal of 50m.
We just pulled zirkzee, got Yoro, got De Light, we solved two issues in one window. Now we get Ugarte next, midfield is set. Whatever we do next in terms of transfers only benefits us in money coming in or players coming with the money we have. This is solid work

12/13 years ago or so a young Rapha Varane chose Real Madrid over Manchester United and the rest is history, fast forward 12/13 years today a young Yeny Loro chooses United over Real Madrid and if Yoro can have that impact were in for a mighty signing lads

I'm not bent out of shape about his wages. We're in a position where we have to pay people more to come, with the goal hopefully in the near future of not having to overpay, being in the place like Madrid where we can point at the recent trophies and say "That's what you're coming for."

We still need De Ligt...AND maybe one more central defender...especially if Maguire and/or Lindeloff move on as is rumored to happen...this means that we are actually worse off without a 3rd defender once one or more of them leave given the already confirmed departures from our group of available CBs

50 M euros plus 12 M in addons is completely different than 70 million pounds sterling (+). Not even comparable, and I think the same is true for talent: Yoro looks in a different class than Branthwaite
Maguire and Lindelof maybe the most experienced CB backup partnership in world football. Don't raise the roof and destabilise the foundations.

Impressive, United's recruitment team has been performing so far. Now, if they were to move on Lindelof and Maguire - and get De Ligt in, we would be in a better place. If they can get a good high energy ball winning defensive midfielder... I would like to think they've succeeded. Whether that's Ugarte or someone else, United have to get a proper first choice DM. And, is it me, or Zirkzee is not a striker? If we can move on some of this dead wood, we might also get Ivan Toney!!!

I do beleive we need tondiffefentiate between a player "not wanting united" and a player preferring another club...Yoro may prefer Madrid but doesn't mean it doesn't want to come to us, he had free reign and decided us. I really hope it’s not true we only want one. I was optimistic we’d see a new system, back 3 would suit our squad as long as we have defenders. Yoro, de ligt, Martinez back three? Yes please. From the first pre season game it looks like we are sticking with the 4-2-3-1 though…we don’t want the same as last year.
Last year was 4 3 3 DM for most of the year. He has gone back to the double pivot. 5 at the back maybe in some games but at the moment don't have the squad depth to make that permanent.

Paddock folk, i have a problem I want help with. I feckin hate the glazers and want them out... however, as a child my parents could never afford to buy me united tops, and now as an adult I am able to buy tops and track suits etc for me and more importantly my 2 daughters who support united also... but I feel guilty as feck for it as I hate the thoughts of the glazers benefiting from me doing so. I haven't bought a top in years because of the glazers but my daughters now both want the new strip but also want me to have 1 so wee all match. They are too young to understand the issue with the glazers. I also don't want to let the glazers out movement down....
