Nice to see your review on the yellowfin 120, bought mine a couple weeks ago... And after being in it several times, one thing I would say other than what you mentioned about the stability, was how quick this boat is... It glides across the water with such little effort..and tracks beautifully The hull design is fantastic... And you did a great job of demonstrating the stability...
I've paddled along side pelicans, hobie, etc... And they all mention how much easier I'm paddling than they are... The boat for $799, really is a great choice...
I have the on the water speed demo coming up, I think vibe did a great job on this boat
@@AliexFolgueira look forward to seeing that...
Thanks
Thanks Rick for your post. Both this video and what you said makes me feel much better about the decision I made last night to purchase one. Stability is huge to me. Now I can’t wait to try it out!
Love my Vibe, very well built and amazing price point.
Great value for sure
This boat was very surprising to me, very Stable and fast. I put a Bixpy Jet on one for my channel. Great Video!
Ohh yeah it surprised me and for $800 it is a great deal
Got my Bixpy motor and universal rudder from Eric at Electric Surf Sports. Great customer service and fast shipping. He's a great supporter of the water sports community. Oh, great video Aliex.
Michael Ski that’s awesome Michael 😀Erick is the best, how did you hear about Erick
Hey Aliex, what do u prefer for inshore yellowfin120, sea ghost 110, or sea ghost 130? Is the $200 dollar difference worth it?
really like the vibe of it. good work fam!
I just picked up a year old one off Facebook market place for $500 with paddle can’t wait to test it out on all the small lakes near me fishing
Thanks for making this video. Very well done.
Thank you Bill 😊
Wow! You're doing the YF120?! Thank you
All thanks to my buddy Erik 😁
I have a yellowfin and it's ok for the money. The bottom will scratch up pretty bad since it's a softer plastic.
Softer plastic than what?
I've got one of the Yellowfin 10 footers and I agree that the plastic is pretty soft. The deck also seems pretty thin as it flexes a lot. I just bought one of the Lifetime Yukon kayaks a few weeks ago on sale for $400 and actually like it a lot more then the Vibe. Seems heavier duty and more stable. I also like the seat more.
Umm I'll take a look at that, I can't really super tough with this boat because it isn't mine
Its softer then my ocean kayak, old town topwater, my sons little lifetime brand kayak...
Plastic is soft some yaks feel stiffer than others because they have foam blocks, and other structures
You should do a review video of the yellowfin 130T I’ve been hearing good things about it
if i can get my hands on it sure
Can't wait for mines to get here.thanks for the vid.
Same bro, about to go pick up mine this weekend. Same color and all
Hope you enjoy it!
are you guys gonna motorized it ?
Used mines today and wow what and amazing kayak.im 6" 220 lbs and this 120 tracked very well
The hull and outside body design look exactly the same as the deisign on the Malibu Kayak X Factor and Stealth kayaks.. I'm wondering if they used the same mold...
Probably, these are made in China they sell those molds other companies
Good video again thanks for the info. What is the weight of that kayak? What is the most stable kayak you tested so far? Thank you. Looking forward to watching another video
Thanks Aliex, another great video. How would you compare the quality and more important the paddability of a Bonafide RS117.
If you don't mind the extra $200 the rs117 would be what I would get because it is made in the US and paddles very well too
@@AliexFolgueira Thanks, greatly appreciated.
Good review. I might get one for Lake Superior MN
it is a nice kayak
I've had a Seaghost 110 and a yellowfin 120 and the yf120 is far more stable. But I do miss the storage of the sg. Vibe makes great kayaks for the price. I have alot of mods on my yf120 I love it.
Yellowfin more stable? The seaghost is on sale 600 i want to buy it
Good job on the video Aliex, thx!
Thanks brother 😁 next on the agenda is motorized it
Hello Aliex tell me abput you seat Hero vipe kayak it is secure to use it does not moving or move
Hi I love your videos and also just recently purchased a yellow fin 120. Do you recommend taking the scupper plugs out to make it easier to stand?
I like to kayak without the scupper plugs I don’t like water pooling on the deck
Aliex compare this to the Lifetime Yukon. I've got both the Vibe Yellowfin 110 and the Yukon and I like the Yukon a lot more and it was cheaper. Retails for $530 bought mine on sale for $400. The plastic the Yukon is made from seems stronger to me. The vibes plastic is very soft especially the deck it has a lot of flex to it. I also think the yukons seat is more comfortable and its also faster and tracks better. I'd also have to say the Yukon is more stable as I can stand in it and get to the front hatch without any trouble.
The yellowfin 120 is totally different than the 110...the hull is different... It's much faster, and tracks way better
Lots of people mentioning the the Yukon let's see
@@AliexFolgueira have you tried a yuokn? they are on sale for $399 and its a crazy good value for the kayak you get. Its an incredible Kayak
I haven't try it yet
I flipped it ten minutes after putting it on the water. Leaned to my right and it toppled right over.
You look tall so definitely it could be an issue how much you weight
6’4, 230lbs. I was reaching to grab a pole to stabilize myself while i shot a photo. Definitely not a stable kayak unless you stay centered.
Flipped mines on second trip fairly easy
Aliex saludos, oye mi bro compre el 2019 outback. I wanted to ask you does your outback steer more to the left than to right? Mine does
You need to demonstrate the stability from the seat just leaning over the side. Film from the nose.
The video is good enough
Your shirt is super bright 😀
Yeah lol
I flipped this fairly easy 6’0 220lb just reaching over the side to push away from rock with my emergency paddle
you can flip yup
So if it were your $, and you had choice of yellowfin 120, sea ghost 110, ride 115, flint, or wahoo 10.5 what would it be? Love your videos!
Ride and flint are more $$ Def yf over sg110
What do you think about the bass pro shop kayak
Ascend 128T looking for a new fishing kayak. We live on a large lake
I personally haven't use one, I hear lots of complains about how slow it is and heavy, just by looking at the specs the yellowfin 120 is a better value, costs less, it is lighter and has more capacity
@@AliexFolgueira Think you! love your Channel!
Thank you 😁😁😁
If your looking for an affordable kayak check the Lifetime Yukon. They retail for $530 but I bought one on sale for $399. I've had it out a few times now and love it. Super comfy seat and stable enough to stand on. Also seems to be very well made.
I have a friend that has the Ascend your talking about... It's stable, but a slug in the water... Takes alot of effort to move it...
Awesome video Alex! I tried to get that color but it sold out by the time i purchased.
Thanks man, it is a nice color, I'm actually working on the demo video now
Is there a transducer scupper on this boat?
You think its stable enough for casting and fly fishing? What u think, I'm interested in purchasing. Also looking at bonafide rs117. Which one u think more stable? Thanks bro keep up great videos
I don't think you can go wrong with either, how big are you? Stability has a lot to do with the weight of the person and the vessel
5"10 200 solid!! Lol.
Yeah man you are almost like me, should have no problems 😁
Muchas gracias hermano!
That takes alot because of the camber on the sides or whatever you call the angle of the dangle 😂of the sides the way they angle out
Yeah weird design
Aliex 😎 your too kind to do all these videos and demo's for the RUclips fans. Great job sir 👍
Thanks David 😁 it is a nice boat I was surprised
You know what they say: if the boat is a rock’n, crocs come a knock’n! 🐊
Ryannnn 😁 😁 😁 😁 next flip is the redo of the topwater for sure 😎 gonna need help looking out for the crocs, wanna come down to Miami? 😁
Aliex, what are your thoughts on the Yellowfin 120 vs Catch 130HD? I'm on the fence about which one to purchase? Thank you.
Buy pedals buddy, hands free fishing for the win, you can also add bixpy to the yf if you like motors
Hey Alex, thanks for this review and many of your others. I am tall and have heard it is not designed for a tall person, 6’3”. Thoughts?
This is a big kayak! 12 ft it should work, why did they say that it won't work?
Aliex Folgueira Another reviewer said he was 5’11” I believe. And as he was going over the foot pedals he said if you are much taller than he, you may need a bigger kayak.
@@flpanhandler7749 I'm 5/11 too no issues
@@flpanhandler7749 the one u r taking about is the vibe 100 it's different than the vice 120
@@flpanhandler7749 I saw that video too
Nice save dude i woulda went ass over on that one
How does it paddle? That yak will get some new people on the water.
Fairly well, I would say slower than the sg130 but not bad
Fish !
Yeah man let's get some FISH on kayaks
I have the yellow fin 120 I weigh 320 pounds I’m a fat ass dude and this kayak handles me like a charm I have zero problems with it and still has great balance
That's amazing
Dante Fascell! Nice spot....dude, how did your chancletas (*flip-flops ) stay in yak???magic...hmm! Hey, you should reply and let's go out one day...I just ordered my yellowfin!
Haha they float! So sometimes I find them haha 😄 congrats on the new yak!
How does it compare to the bonafide RS117
both are great buys! stable, paddle well, great seats
@Aliex, you need to do a review on the Bote Rover Paddle Board!
I know it is very popular, I did a demo on it a while ago
I fell off mine last week. 😢
easy to lose balance and fall off
Alex how solid is the deck does it give I am 6ft 260 will it give or is it solid I would hope solid. Since my ankle and knees are beat-up over years that is my only concern is the stability and how solid it is want to get min. 10 years out of it. I have an old Malibu two XL 13ft. man that thing took a beating but always leaked. I think they had nothing but issue with scupper holes and prior to 2007 they had thicker plastic was very noticeable against my buddies Malibu 2. My next purchase must be stable must be solid overall or its a no go. Ill buy be a boat and I dont want that love the closeness to water and freedom the kayak gives me .
Also Alex what other kayak do you recommend that doesn't have a stinking hatch in the front deck I simply dont understand that BS I like a clear ,clean deck no obstruction I dont need a freaking cup holder or hatch where I should be able to have a stable , sturdy deck not a weak area to stick my foot into by accident . Dont these guys designing get this. I would venture ask most guys they will tell you "nope dont use cup holder , Nope dont like the stupid hatch!" :P
The pelican hydryve 130 doesn't have that big hatch on the front.
Have you ever seen a crocodile when those Waters
My friend have seen them while we have been there
Is that Key Biscayne Park
Hey Aliex, was thinking yellowfin 120, but a tarpon 120 is for sale locally for $500 (used). What you think man? Thanks for your advice!!!!!!!
The tarpon is a faster boat, but it will be less stable and the seat would not be as comfy (maybe it is for you) what are you looking for on a kayak?
Well if there were any crocs around they would have found you pretty easy with all that splashing and flopping, lol
They are a bit away from where I was 😅 close to the mangroves
Were those F-15s that flew over?
Yup the it got louder too
This or feel free thoughts?
Which feel free?
@@AliexFolgueira opps sorry the feelfree lure 11.5
Now get a 300lb men to do what u did and see how easy it flips
A 300 pound man has no business kayaking. He should spend his leisure time getting healthier
@@jcwoodstl treat all people equal with respect and love.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥓
Never dip your toe in the cold water !!!!!!!
You should have done it in deeper water then what you did to show how to turn it back over knee high to waist deep is not hard to turn it back over . .And for hauling you kayak you need a rack t mount your truck bed is not big enough for it . Less stress on the kayak and your straps
Doesn't look as stable as the pelican 120. Nice vid but I'm buying the Catch 120
Both are nice boats!! The catch 120 does grab you a bit
@@AliexFolgueira its definatly more stable but I'm sure it's a little slower too but I fish calm back waters so fine.
@@whyohwhy357 don't have that lifetime warranty though 😎
@@jcarney910 I'd rather not flip.
@@whyohwhy357 lol I'm about to buy my second vibe and glad I bought it over the catch 100
