physics. Put paper on other side of screen to apply the flex seal with the roller on the screen. Put another screen on the screen to reduce the hole sizes...
In the commercial, it looked like they used much denser mesh than the stuff you used, and it also looks like it could be made of fabric, so that would explain why it went on so much easier.
bronze189 tell me a product that actually works like it does on tv. On most of these I’m actually surprised cause they come pretty close to how they do on tv... so get out
they doing it how they show it on the tv 😂 gosh he went out his way to put holes in a boat, hes trying to show yall its not as easy as it is on tv 😂 had nothing to do with applying it correct
Hector Mancha that screen has a coating that keeps like dirt and bugs from sticking to it. Plus your not supposed to use it when the temp is 100 degrees outside.
I have both a really nice bass boat and a Jon boat I really enjoy Jon boats much more. The vibe. The easy fixes with the boats all the mods you can do. After fishing in my bass boat for so long and fishing out of jon boats pretty much my whole life. I love a boat you don’t have to worry about as much rugged still looks good. Easy to paint it’s just a great boat. I recommend a John boat more than any other boat. Something about the feeling. It’s different
No. They are incompetent when it comes to anything with their hands like this. Also not safe working with metal like that with sandals. One wrong move and there goes a toe.
wow flex seal does work , but you did not do things right , but i am not sure what you used for screen but thy used a screen door or something like that, in the air boat was screen , but i dont think he was walking and standing on it , by standing on it it got weaker and started to leak, also you should of used a finer screen or put paper on screen and coated both sides as well inside and outside this way you would not of had a leak, any way it was funny to see you guys sink in the pond ,
AP you should try to cut long narrow pieces and put regular window screen then add the flex seal and then do another screen and then add four layers of the flex seal. But let each layer dry first.
Next time build a box to hold the screen. Next fill it until the flex seal covers the screen thus making sure it is completely water tight. Wait a couple of days for it to fully cure. Next when attaching the screen to the boat drill your holes, then put down a layer of flex seal where the frame of the screen is to touch. The flex seal here will act as seal. Next bolt down the screen. You can apply flex seal to the frame as well to ensure a solid watertight seal. Next you can apply flex seal to the bolts to give them a seal as well. Make sure to allow for at least 1-2 days I between coats to allow for curing of the flex seal. Final step is to go out and catch some MONDOS!!! Also might be a good idea to take some flex tape out as well in case any unexpected leaks do happen, and bring a pair of scissors to cut the flex tape to the length you need. Also with flex tape, leave the plastic film on until you're ready to apply it.
Rookies u cant use the "cloth" type screen u have to use a metal mesh type screen clean it of oil, dirt and debris in order for the flex seal to stick to it and its called paint roller not a brush
In the commercial you notice there is a layer of Flex seal on the screen before they shoot the ad, one could say they had a layer of taper under that to shoot the shot and then tape the rest while no one was looking. also as much as I personally have used flex seal I Can Never Ever get that stuff as nicely done as the commercial suggests it can be, but it works well for my purposes such as sealing a backpack and repairing my van project i'm slowly building out.
Use the same boat and just make the flex seal thick with letting the sealent dry for awhile before trying to apply again. And im sure the boat used in the commercial had 4 gals used on it and it was sprayed on!
Thank God for RUclips!!!! this dude would be stuck in his parents basement for the rest of his life or their life. Hahaha. Ps. Maybe try half of your normal Adderall dose
You’d be better off using 1/2 inch or 1 inch Perspex and glueing it to the inside of the Jon boat with stylistic. That way you’ll be able to stand over the holes without being worried that you’ll fall through.
I needed to attach a door trim around an exterior door. Normally, I would have used a Polyurethane construction adhesive (Loctite PL), but I thought that I'd give this stuff a try. MISTAKE! I bought a small tube of this crap, online. It came in an envelope ... wrapped in bubble wrap ... and nothing else. It looked a little banged up, but there were no leaks. I cut the top off of the tube, gave it a squeeze, and the bottom of the tube blew out! Undeterred, since I had already cut my three pieces of trim, I applied generous amounts of this crap, from the bottom of the tube. I had snapped plumb and squared, guidelines around the door, and I set the trim to those lines. Although the product claims to be, "instant bond" as a precaution, I used some Blue Tape, to hold the trim in place. About an hour later, I returned to find that, in spite of the tape, one side of the trim had dropped a quarter of an inch ... AND THEN PROCEEDED TO SET HARD!!! How happy do you think I am with this crap? AVOID!
1. You need a dinner mesh 2. You applied to much at one time 3. Apply the flex seal to both sides Me and my coworkers did this cause we got bored at work and the jon boat is still floating
Some screens have a wax coating on it, should of used spray primer before and it would of had a better chance of sticking and maybe doubling on the screens to make the holes smaller
Make a glass bottom boat! Like if u want to see
Landon Hughes I’ll give you a glass bottom boat boy 😏😏😏
ruclips.net/video/zErxckKneEU/видео.html Landon Hughes

Pigeons 420 iii
physics. Put paper on other side of screen to apply the flex seal with the roller on the screen. Put another screen on the screen to reduce the hole sizes...
Jason Alaimo he isn’t that smart! Should have used metal screen not cloth! Should learn how to use a roller!
they call it a brush lol. No prob at that age I'm sure i didn't know much more
Common sense is something these younger folks don't have
Not the sharpest tool in the shed
Dad was there... he didn't know to correct them?
In the commercial, it looked like they used much denser mesh than the stuff you used, and it also looks like it could be made of fabric, so that would explain why it went on so much easier.
Does flex seal work yes(when properly used)
Is this dued bad as a handyman :yes
You should have gotten flex tape
they are using flex tape to patch up the leaks
Yep hes an idiot
Pov: I should have searched flex tape not FLeX sEaL
You’re screen was not course enough they had a screen that had way smaller holes you need a finer screen
Should of used the flex seal tape
Rusty Wells exactly
Mmm yup
also they used the spray, which gives a better result but takes more cans
they used the cans in the commercial it kind of comes out super tacky
Bro they used a different kind of screen look at the Commercial. It's not your standard screen
Exactly
I have not seen a single video testing flex anything where it worked as advertised
bronze189 tell me a product that actually works like it does on tv. On most of these I’m actually surprised cause they come pretty close to how they do on tv... so get out
You guys have no idea how to use this stuff. It would've taken a day if you guys did this right
I know I've repaired holes in my canoe with it and they're perfect months later u need to do light coats and let them cure
they doing it how they show it on the tv 😂 gosh he went out his way to put holes in a boat, hes trying to show yall its not as easy as it is on tv 😂 had nothing to do with applying it correct
Ciera Davis o
Ciera Davis who said it was easy on tv? No one knows how long it took for it to actually do good on tv
redo this project with finer mesh
Jon Chan 69 They definitely used a finer mesh in the commercial, it’s pretty obvious when watching both of these
That screen has a coating on it. You have to sand anything you use it on. The screen on the TV is stainless steel not the cheap shit you used
Jeremy Newhouse so because it’s stainless it magically doesn’t fall through the holes? Lol
Hector Mancha correct
Yeah they are dumb af
Hector Mancha that screen has a coating that keeps like dirt and bugs from sticking to it. Plus your not supposed to use it when the temp is 100 degrees outside.
Hector Mancha it allows the paint to actually grab onto something. And it's a lot finer.
The “fuzzy paint brush” is called a paint roller, cause it rolls just a fyi
Jared Edwards FYI it's a roller and a roller cover.
1221Ralph lol stfu ain’t no one ever called it a roller cover. It’s called a paint roller and a roller head.
Jared Edwards roller head 😂 fuck out of here lmao
it's actually called a nap or roller nap and roller frame. combine it's called a paint roller.
1221Ralph bro I can’t believe we’re arguing over a fucking paint roller. This is not what the internet was intended for.
Phil used metal mesh screen you used what looked like nylon mesh screen it’s not the same
Hillbilly Vlogs your just dumb as hell, you completely missed the point of what he was talking about
This is hilarious! I have a Jon boat about 50 years old that leaked out of every single rivet when I got it. Fixed them with flex seal👍
so it works?
Who flips a boat over from end-to-end why would you not just roll it over from the side
Jason Clark I think they were just being funny
They were gonna recreate the commercial.
Jason Clark kids
Motobandit these are grown men Alex is 21 he's not a kid.
@@jasonclark8921 They Just Having fun dude
Idk why peric doesn’t have a million subs yet.... dude is under rated.... keep it up bro!
Now that’s a lot of damage
NOW THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE!!!
WOW!!!!!!
Why not use flex tape to hold on the screen?
I laughed so hard when the boat sank LOL
“Slaunches!” So funny!! Nice work boys.
Honestly this video is Genius and i'm so proud HAHAH this should go viral

In the commercial they used tinier screen.😂
I sawed this boat in half.
BO AT
Rookie Orange yeah didn't the guy cut it in half and tape it down the middle?
I have both a really nice bass boat and a Jon boat I really enjoy Jon boats much more. The vibe. The easy fixes with the boats all the mods you can do. Hudson mullins )
You guys spent all that time making that boat and dropped it on the rocks lol thanks dad... but it made for a more epic ending haha
For one in the commercial there isn’t even a gas tank in the boat😂😂😂😂
Hilarious!!! Your Dad's great!!
You should do a kayak out of flex tape.👍
No. They are incompetent when it comes to anything with their hands like this. Also not safe working with metal like that with sandals. One wrong move and there goes a toe.
Now thats a lot of damage!
Favorite part of this video is when you put the shopping cart away, wish everyone would do that
Found this by accident. Worth the laugh!
Another boat!!!
You should have dipped it in a tub so it would go in the mesh and the screw the dipped sheets on
wow flex seal does work , but you did not do things right , but i am not sure what you used for screen but thy used a screen door or something like that, in the air boat was screen , but i dont think he was walking and standing on it , by standing on it it got weaker and started to leak,

any way it was funny to see you guys sink in the pond ,
love the perfectly placed commercials haha
great video your dad is a great guy for participating and helping with a crazy idea dont find many parents willing to do that great video
At least the whole boat can be a live well
Should have used flex seal tape. The water in the boat may be from where y’all screwed in that metal.
Next, you should do the detergent commercials to see which one gets stains out the best!
Matthew Scott Wall or he could just eat the pod
Awesome! Team YOLOtek was cracking up
AP you should try to cut long narrow pieces and put regular window screen then add the flex seal and then do another screen and then add four layers of the flex seal. But let each layer dry first.
Love the vids dude keep up the great work man
Dope vid ap😎
Cut a boat in half and use the tape

Very hard watching y’all use a grinder
U need to read the directions on how to use the flex sea
In the commercial you notice there is a layer of Flex seal on the screen before they shoot the ad, one could say they had a layer of taper under that to shoot the shot and then tape the rest while no one was looking.
also as much as I personally have used flex seal I Can Never Ever get that stuff as nicely done as the commercial suggests it can be, but it works well for my purposes such as sealing a backpack and repairing my van project i'm slowly building out.
Did you think to ask if that stuff required a specific type of roller?
Too funny. The guy used a whole door though, not just screen. It does seal good though. We used on roof last year and it's still holding
PuppySaver For life my dad in law bought the tape spray an paint can of it on are roof an all three don't work are roof still leaks
For the love of god push with cut off wheel don’t pull
Patrick Howell haaa your correct brother!
Made In Canada they have no clue about tools. Just a bunch or over privileged rich folk
Should have used a sawzall
do the glass bottom idea
It's so funny to see peric throw his fits haha
Use the same boat and just make the flex seal thick with letting the sealent dry for awhile before trying to apply again. And im sure the boat used in the commercial had 4 gals used on it and it was sprayed on!
Hilarious Video AP!! Your Dad's the best! That shit don't work Nada!
I thought Jon b was perics dad
I don’t need a 20 min video.
My first boat was a old bluefin

Love the video

Thank you for putting the shopping cart back.
now the boat is junk
Thank God for RUclips!!!! this dude would be stuck in his parents basement for the rest of his life or their life. Hahaha.
Ps. Maybe try half of your normal Adderall dose
Michael Dickerson LMFAO!
Flex seal dose not work
Kim Pietrocarlo neither does hooked on phonics......
The commercial used flex tape, Not flex seal. Also use the spray instead of the liquid. The spray goes on thin and gets thicker as you apply more on
Your Dad is awesome, did it for you ! Props to your Dad ! Try not to drag him into too many crazy ideas 😁
I'm 12 and I can do that
Catch em all
Admit it I got you

Zack Brandt call me crazy but he reminded me of tony soprano
Yall are my heros! 😂
That was awesome... loved it ... keep’em coming....
1. You need a dinner mesh
2. You applied to much at one time
3. Apply the flex seal to both sides
Me and my coworkers did this cause we got bored at work and the jon boat is still floating
You guys are very entertaining? I might do the glass bottom boat.
"Do you need some tape?" What a crack up
Some screens have a wax coating on it, should of used spray primer before and it would of had a better chance of sticking and maybe doubling on the screens to make the holes smaller
