To answer your question, yes the princess gives more XP the higher level the tower is. It goes up by +2 every level, so lvl 3 would give 6 xp. I once did a build with horse princess princess dice when I was trying for a clover build since higher level dice tower gives better clover RNG. Sadly I didn't get the clover until too late in that run, but both princess' were lvl 3 by the end boss. Their higher xp cost was offset by giving each other more xp as the game went on. 10/10 would recommend 2 side by side princesses bracketed by whatever you're going for. And princess/frog/witch is a fun combo. So strange you got so many frogs before you even had more than a single lvl 1 mosquito tower down. I've never seen soo many frogs show up before. Have you done a Royal tower build? Butler says he doubles his bonus if given to the royal tower. I'm thinking Royal Tower + Butler and a mix of Glass and Guardian towers for the rest. Maybe an Iron tower to tear down for extra hp on the royal tower?
it's hard because the royal gets buff but you're super broke, especially to start. you MIGHT be able to get away with it if you build cheap/fast growing buffers in front (like ladders) with an eye towards replacing them later. i haven't been able to get it to work yet, though.

I've tried it a little but def haven't built it anywhere close to feasible. I want to try again sooN!

The way to do this build is get rare tower turn 1 perk and if its a butler then you put it next to the tower.

in my experience, that's been loss within 3-5 turns (depending on whether i can get lucky and get ladders).
