A money saving tip I always use is when negotiating player contract. I remove all add ons for appearance, goals, etc plus any % of wage increase. Instead I just offer a little higher weekly wage
No worries man I was at fault for not properly researching around for other vids first so once I had edited and recorded and found yours I thought it would only be fair to give you credit! Keep up the good work mate! - Jake
FM 20 and wingers trained to be wingbacks, win. Regen wingers usually have far better support stats than regular fullbacks, crossing and dribbling especially, due to an injury I found out my wingers were perfectly capable of playing wingback and I simply stopped buying wingbacks. I don´t know if this still works in FM 21 but my two best players were two retrained wingbacks. I have played with regular fullbacks in FM 21 but I have noticed that players with good crossing stats are hard to come by in regens.
I do this for fullbacks and wingers almost every save... I make fullback be able to play both sides and with wingers (I play as inside forwards) I have in my tactics that they can switch sides throughout match so if I get a winger who only plays rw I train them on lw also
Love this, cheers. I’d really appreciate a video featuring a range of the best ‘second season signings’, e.g farinez for a promoted team to the prem? Keep it up mate 👍
Been doing this for years, I tend to train my youth players in multiple positions from the first day they come in. 6 months training in each position I pick. I don't really think the versatility stat matters, but then I have no idea what any players versatility attribute is as I will never buy an ingame editor. I have played a season with a whole squad of just goalkeepers and won the league easily though, and very much doubt any of them have a high versatility number
@@fmscout No haha, probably would have been easier with them. From what I remember(was on 20 not 21) it was Pickford up top with Areola in the AML spot and Fabianski AMR., Foster in goal most of the time. I like to do crazy saves, the game bores me now doing normal saves, too easy. Saying that I need to try this on 21, see if it is any different, the game seems just as easy as last years so probably not. I did it in the Championship though on 20 so maybe this time I will try the prem and see if I can win the champions league with keepers, could be a fun challenge
Of topic i wanna know how to get a u23 team.. i got a small club i got to prem division. It have a u18 since i started but still dont have a u23... i have checked every year the board. And upgraded all stuff every year.. still no option to get a u23 team.. What to do? Is it bugged?
You need to request the board to increase the youth level. I had the same problem with my Northampton Town save in FM19. Even if you’re in the Prem and you’re level isn’t high enough you won’t get one. Once the request is granted, it should pop up at the start of the next season.
i would like to see a video about how links work and how to get them, because i always see other youtubers having a ton of links but i can't seem to get them
Putting them in the same mentoring group from preseason can help too. But ya, some people just become best mates really quickly - might have something to do with personality similarity as well
Hi mate as I mentioned to someone else in the comments, I don't use the editor in saves and wouldn't encourage it, just showing the hidden versatility attribute in this test to show that some players are more versatile than others, and therefore will adapt better in order to show the science behind it, wouldn't use it in a normal save but just for the purpose of the video - Jake
@@fmscout i did not see that you had comment before i posted :) fair it is about the purpose to show about versatile. I use Gross from Brighton on a right winger do til his crossing, thats are working wonders for me.
Yes mate just wanted to show the underlying factors behind the success of it! And thats a smart move mate, how is your Brighton team getting on? - Jake
@@fmscout only played 4 PRL games, but sitting 3rd, Connolly with 6 goals! 3-2 win over SPurs away, 2-2 away vs United. liverpool up next. No transfer first window. Maybe a trick her. You can still sign Coach, Ass and so on, even when your not allowed to do transfer in the first window and hav 0 money. just remeber to fire/mutal with the staff out before you try to sign new ones.
I don't mate, as I said in the video just showed that there is a versatility attribute, doesn't mean I do this when playing to have fun just showing that it exists and therefore effects retraining - Jake

Great minds Jake! Nicely done as well. Thank you for linking me in the description, I really appreciate it.

Thats a good idea mate, keep the defenders guessing! - Jake
Best use for this imo, is ML and MR because naturals in those positions are thin on the ground if you want to use a 442.
Very true mate, or opposite usually for me, youth intakes bring through ML and ML and I turn them into AML and AMR! - Jake

that could be something we think about mate thanks for the idea! Thanks a lot for the comment and the support!

You serious? You've won a league with just goalkeepers? Lol! That's mad if true. Can you please talk to Alisson? 😂😂
Did you really do that with goalkeepers? Thats brilliant if so I wanna hear more about this! - Jake
Alisson/Kepa Strike force? - Jake

@@robertpowell3634 This is actually crazy mate the weirdest thing I've read for ages around FM! Fair play to you!
just wondering, do you have to use "double intensity" training for it to be effective, and wouldn't this increase the chance of injury for the player?
Interesting you choose a right footed player to train at left back, would think that would not be recommended.
Wouldn't usually mate just for this test was all! - Jake
Great video!
Thanks mate! - Jake

what facepack do you use? looks cool
IOS Fm21 facepack mate1 - Jake

Familiarity with each other in the same team for certain amounts of time usually. That's the short hand explanation.
We can look into that for sure mate! - Jake

I dont like that you use the editor, it is easy way to find out. insted play some friendlys, and try out a player for a new postion.

why use the editor to cheat the game and know all the ins and outs? completely ruins the meaning of the game and the fun/mystery of retraining players
