Decades ago I met an old Jewish man who for years had worked as the head doorman at one of the Rat Pack Hotels. He had the photos on the wall with him in them. He showed me his most prized memento, a bejeweled silver putter given to him by Sammy on his birthday.
If you read Lauren Becalls first book, Bogie was the lead of the Rat Pack, and Sinatra came as a junior. After the old guys died out Sinatra took over. My Dad loved Sammy Davis Jr, he said he was one of the most talented person he new. He worked at a dinner house in LA, being the water boy. Sammy Davis Jr came in one night, and my dad was in awe as he poured the water glass. He called him Mr Davis. Told him how much he loved his shows. Sammy gave him fifty buck for later if he came in and did't take care of him. Sammy asked how many shows he saw. Dad replied, "one. The rest were on T.Y". "You don't see my live shows?" Sammy asked. "Sir, I'm the water boy." dad said. "I make minimum wage plus tips. They tip the waiters, but forget about me." Sammy gave dad a front row seat ticket to his next show. Dad said it was heaven watching that man. And Sammy was true- he came in one night drunk, ate dinner and left. He didn't tip anyone. When he came in months later, Dad asked how he was doing. Sammy asked about how he acted. Dad was truthful. "Have I taken care of you before that." Davis asked. Dad assured him he had. About the end of his work in the dinner house, for he was going into the airforce to join the Korean war, the Rat Pack came in. Dad poured water for them without a word. Sinatra asked him if he new who that man was, as he pointed. "Yes sir, Dad answered. "He's the guy who has more talent in his baby finger then you do in your whole body." Sinatra folded his arms and said, "Oh really". Dad boasted, " the only reason Sammy Davis Jr. isn't more popular then you is because he's black. There would be no Frank Sinatra if Sammy Davis Jr were white." Sinatra said, "Your right on all counts. Thanks for the water." The reason why Frank Sinatra was friends with Sammy Davis Jr: He was appointed to do a musical with dancing. Gene Keely was disappointed in his dancing, he gave him three weeks to learn how to dance, or they would find someone else. Frank went home, fixed something to eat, played with the piano and felt he still had his singing job. He went to bed. He was by himself for he was to be on the set working, He woke up to someone pounding on the door. When he opened it Sammy Davis Jr. was standing there. "The door man has the day off?" Sammy asked, "I have no door man," Frank spouted, standing in his house coat. I thought all you rich people had a door man." Sammy stated It's my house, I answere my own door," Said Frank. "What are you doing here?" "I heard about your three week lay-off, Sammy said laughing. "Baby we have a long three weeks ahead of us, but I swear, by the time I get done with you, you will be dancing like a pro." He fixed Frank a health breakfast. Moved some mirrors into a big room, and taught Frank how to stretch before dancing. They did little steps and moves at first. Sammy stayed with Frank for the whole three weeks. And he went with him to the studios. Gene Kelly was impressed, and the movie was made. That is why Frank Sinatra was friends with Sammy Davis Jr.

I remember that Dean Martin told Sammy Davis Jr. that the Kennedys were going to use him. I understand Davis was crying at the Democratic Convention, being snubed by the Southern Democrats. Davis was a Enertainment tour de force. Singing, dancing, acting, impresionist etc. He was treated badly by the enertainment industry. A shameful treatment for a kind and beloved man. Later when author Kitty Kelly wrote a book about Sinatra that wasn't nice. Sinatras mother being an abortionist, Franks mob ties and other things Joey Bishop made a full throated defense of Sinatra on daytime television. Like a real friend. Sinatra thanked Bishop.
SDJr & Kim Novak's courtship was also a contributing factor in the reason JFK didn't stay with Sinatra. Interracial relationships were still frown on and marriage wasn't even considered. And rumor was that Lawford was also bedding Monroe. Sinatra wanted everybody to bow down and kiss his azz. He also thought he was the only reason that they had a career. Dean Martin also took sole custody of his 4 children from his 1st marriage with wife Betty and went on to marry his 2nd wife Jeanne and have 3 more children with her. One good thing that Sinatra did do, was when they all did the nightly shows, he made sure Sammy Davis Jr got a room on the same floor right next to the others.
So, uh, to address the title of this video: who were the two members who hated each other? Was it Frank and Joey? Or Frank and Peter? Or Frank and Dean? Or did the many sides of Frank hate each other? Despite the title, the video didnt really nail it down.

It's understandable to feel disillusioned when learning about the less savory aspects of a beloved figure's personality. It's important to acknowledge both the talent and the flaws of individuals like Frank Sinatra. While his musical contributions are undeniable, it's also crucial to recognize and condemn any harmful behavior he may have exhibited. People's feelings about such figures can be complex and vary widely. Frank Sinatra was a narcissist and a bully. I don't know how many stories I've heard from people saying how utterly disrespectful he was and how much he would be in his ego constantly. He would lose his temper constantly because he saw himself as a god. Yes, the man could sing, but he obviously did some nefarious things behind the scenes. I don't understand why people still idolize him after how nasty he was to so many people that came forward and said they would feel afraid around him. All because someone has magical singing chops doesn't give you the right to be an asshole to people. This guy really thought he was above everybody else, and that's why I can't stand him!
I enjoy his singing but wouldn't care in the least to hang out with him. How sad...if I had such a talent(can't sing to save my life!) I'd be happy & grateful for it,not so arrogant

Love him or hate him Sinatra was a legendary entertainer. Sammy Davis Jnr definitely was the star of the pack. JFK’s treatment of Davis showed what a two faced bastard he was.
Well, after listening to a few Fact Verse documentaries which sadly because I was curious about what they had to say about Hollywood and the entertainment industry, was pretty much word of mouth or written by people who wanted attention. the opinion come away with they were develop to make money off of dead people who cannot defend themselves. Whatever was said in the videos was created those who think their sources reported i truth. Every leading man had a gay lover or this female star was promiscuous etc. by anecdotal evidence. In terms of Frank, one writer suggested what I think is good insight into how Franks character developed came about near of the 1940s when his career was on the skids. He was not getting very many gigs and people and the Media were writing he was wash up. All the people he thought were his friends turned their back on Him. Columnists who once loved to be in presence began to right salacious columns about Franks life. As a result, when he climbs back to the top, the same friends, columnists etc wanted to be back in his good graces. So, you want to be my friend now. Well, where were you when I was down and out. To judge one's behavior without walking in their shoes is a week place to be. Unfortunately, he was biter toward most of those people and because of those circumstances he carried a chip on his shoulder. He was known not be tough with those he considers the common man or down on their luck or in dire straits. He helped those folks because he had been there. He never believed or trusted many people of the entertainment industry. again. He was insecure being around those folks because it could happen to him again. So, when he acquired the power to crush you, he did if you betrayed him. Since those were the circle of people, he ran with and if he perceived they crossed him, then they caught his bad side. Was he a hard ass, sometimes cruel, unpredictable of course as were many of the entertainment figures who also experience trials and tribulations in their careers. Who cares about the perhaps salacious aspects of Monroe or Garland, Hudson, the list goes on and on. Why don't people just enjoy the entertainment these folks have brought to millions and us and let their frailties just remain buried. All I know is when Frank, Dean ,Sammy, Judy hit a note or croon a song, or I go to the movies and see the Duke, Cable, Grant, Fonda, Boogie and many more, i am in a joyful place.
I tuned out when you stated that Cary Grant's career was fueled by LSD. By 1959, when Grant experimented with LSD, he was at the top already. What else is not true, I don't care to waste my time watching to find out. Thumb DOWN. I've no time for BS. Bye.
Frank was so popular, it’s not unbelievable the mob would want to get a pice of his action. He ended up making some friends, he helped one of the greatest Presidents there ever was. For the time. He still was. I think Reagan was his republican counterpart.
Saw him in concert in the 70's. Who needed a Mike? He blew the roof off! But I loved Dino...liked his little sayings on his swizzle stick during his shows.
Let face it: Peter Lawford was no good actor*. Acting the same way, superficial & no humor. Thought that being married to a Kennedy was some 'gift of heaven'. It wasn't & happy Sinatra* kicked him out!🤨🤨😝😝 *Being British, Lawford was a total embarrassment. British are known for producing outstanding actors like Charles Laughton, Peter O'Toole, Sir Alec Gunnness & Sir Jack Hawkins. YET Lawford never reach their toes.😝😝😝😝 *I am no Frank Sinatra's fan. Good singer but I don't like his singing. Yet, Frank Sinatra was quite good as an actor.🤩😛
The Rat Pack were hacks as a group and Sinatra specifically. A young Martin had one of the best voices ever but his schtick got old really quickly. Lawford and Bishop were of no consequence. Sammy had the real talent. Too bad he hooked up with a bunch of losers.

@@FactsVerse I DON'T love the video! I just watched it to have something to look at for 20:00 while I put my feet up for a bit. Couldn't help notice how Mr. Robo-voice kept repeating the same stories over and over again and how he can't even read English! "Dollars 200"? "Oceans Eleven Inches"??
Dean Martin did not attend the 1961 inaguration as a protest because of president Kennedy did not allowed Sammy Davis and his wife to come.
Did he say Oceans 11 inches?😮

Did you know that Dino never even spoke English until after he was six years old?!
I meant I’m a full blooded Italian. My parents and grandparents ant there parents were all all Italian.
Not true. They loved eachother.
Why is Peter Lawford part of this group? I've never understood that.
The Rat Pack, an epitome of elegance and the allure of Hollywood !!!

Eliminate all the repetition and you have had an easy to take 10 minute program. Instead, you rehashed the same stories over and over again ad infinitum ad surd Num.
Politicians have been doing this for years, and it's works for them !...

Love him or hate him Sinatra was a legendary entertainer.
Sammy Davis Jnr definitely was the star of the pack.
JFK’s treatment of Davis showed what a two faced bastard he was.
Proof reading and editing this script would help a lot. The narrator tells the Sinatra helipad story three times! Sloppy!

Frank was so popular, it’s not unbelievable the mob would want to get a pice of his action. He ended up making some friends, he helped one of the greatest Presidents there ever was. For the time. He still was. I think Reagan was his republican counterpart.
Reagan can't hold a candle to Frank

He was the best
Saw him in concert in the 70's. Who needed a Mike? He blew the roof off! But I loved Dino...liked his little sayings on his swizzle stick during his shows.

Let face it: Peter Lawford was no good actor*. Acting the same way, superficial & no humor. Thought that being married to a Kennedy was some 'gift of heaven'. It wasn't & happy Sinatra* kicked him out!🤨🤨😝😝
*Being British, Lawford was a total embarrassment. British are known for producing outstanding actors like Charles Laughton, Peter O'Toole, Sir Alec Gunnness & Sir Jack Hawkins. YET Lawford never reach their toes.😝😝😝😝
*I am no Frank Sinatra's fan.
