I know it’s not everyone’s favorite one, but I have a blast with this movie. And yes I love the Julia Roberts reveal, I don’t remember when I’ve been so genuinely surprised and thoroughly delighted by a reveal in a film.
If it's not your particular brand of vodka, help yourself to as much food as you like and safe journey. No hard feelings. Otherwise, come with me and watch Oceans 13.
I love how they don’t make Isabel just the girl that rusty loves. She’s smart, she’s tough, she can be a little ruthless. Especially when she’s dealing with rusty who at first she apparently has it out for. She has her reasons but she’s still badass
2nd 3rd anniversary: they were divorced in 11, remember? They remarried. So, this is their 2nd marriages 3rd anniversary. Also a quick way to say at least 3 years later from 11.
I enjoy all of the Oceans movies People hate the Julia Roberts thing but i think it's very clever and meta This is the only time I've ever seen it done so im not as burned out on it as others
Making Tess look pregnant because Julia Roberts had only recently had a kid when this movie came out was a stroke of genius. Also, who else thinks Seb should watch the heist movie Entrapment with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sean Connery?
@@David-ru8tc: Yeah, at this point I can't really believe it has anything to do with any specific character, although it should be said that the majority of his characters do have the type of "on the run constantly" energy to them, but not all of course.
I know it is not many critics favorite but I have adored this movie since it can out. I almost wore the DVD out, I played it so many times. Most of all, I love the score.
Absolutely agreed. I can not watch this movie too often. I've probably already seen it over a hundred times at this point. It's my favorite of the series, I rated it a perfect 100.
This one was originally written as a 1v1 story between 2 thieves called "honor among thieves" after the success of the first movie they reworked it to make it an ocean's movie.
This one's kinda the black sheep of the trilogy 'cause the whole "they completely fail jk they did the job boringly last week" twist isn't very satisfying, but it's still enjoyable. I really love that scene with Hagrid, especially Clooney's face.
This one got kinda roasted for being a bit too "insider Hollywood" about the humor. Like Julia Roberts playing a woman impersonating Julia Roberts, that kinda thing. The cast readily admit they were basically about the European vacation. Pitt once said in an interview something like "poor Catherine Zeta-Jones thought we were making a movie." I still find it fun as the chemistry is still great and I did like a lot of those gags anyway. I definitely enjoyed the third more as they kinda found a happy medium.
@@reservoirdude92 right? But that's how the cast thought of it. They were working but were still just trying to have a good time. I mean, obviously they weren't phoning it in like the quote suggests, but Zeta-Jones was probably being super serious and they weren't.
The house where they met lemarc at the end of the movie is actually Clooney's house on Lake Como in Italy. The cast stayed there during filming. So yeah, they were treating it like a vacation
I watched the first movie round about ten times. I watched the third movie about 2 or 3 times. I never fully understood it, I'm probably too stupid. I watched Ocean's Twelve easily over a hundred times. I absolutely love it.....
I love all the Ocean's movies. I at least binge watch them 2 times a year. And everytime I see the laser scene, that song get's stuck in my head and I have to listen to it for a week minimun on repeat. And for those who want to know and are to lazy to search for it, the song is called "La Caution - Thé à la Menthe - The Laser Dance Song"
8.8/10 Ocean's Twelve, sub-par to Eleven, but great for what it is Sure, this movie was as good as the prequel, but it is great for what it is... a comedic heist film with the best cast ever. This movie lives up to the star power shown in Ocean's Eleven, but it has a different twist of humour. Those who are heavily criticizing this film should relax, it's not meant to be a film that deserves high praise, but it shouldn't be under scrutiny for being what it is... a feel-good film. What I highly enjoy about the Ocean's Trilogy is being able to watch a film that brings together great talent, some of the biggest names of my own generation, and watching them in a comedic heist film that deserves some popcorn and laughs. This movie is highly underrated, not because of how great the storyline is, but because of how great the entire package is. Enjoy it for what it is.
I seriously can't get over yer giddyness throughout this watchalong, but I definitely love it! BTW... if you want to continue with 'heists' after O's11/12/13, there are branches off this... the director, Soderbergh went off and made 2017's Lucky Logan (Daniel Craig is fuuunny in it). Then there's Danny Ocean, Clooney himself, who went off and directed and starred in 2014's Monuments Men, awesome cast as well. Clooney's character has to assemble a team to go, er, do stuff, at the end of WW2, and tis a true story at that. And to end it for dessert, Clooney and Soderbergh 'back' together for the first time in 1998's Out Of Sight pulling off a heist. I hope you try one if not all :D
For anyone still searching for the music playing when hes doing the whole lazer fields thing. Its "thé a la menthe (lazer dance version) by la caution.
I know this video has been upload 1mnth ago, but it's funny that u saw a connection with Han from F&F. It's funny because in one of Han's line he said he was a smoker. Pitt, was trying to "quit" this behavior by eating and the producers saw this and decided to add him to the character (I think it was already in Ocean's 11) - sorry for my English ;v
Two of my favorite quotes from this movie: Rusty Ryan : Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why. [walks off] Linus Caldwell : Oooooooooo. And Linus:What I think he meant by ''fine'' is we're running low on time and money... ...and we're deeper in debt than when we started.
Pretty bummed out that you didn't even react to the Le Marc reveal at the end. It's what gives the movie its heart for me, it redeems Isabel's character for me and it always makes me cry....
The Julia Roberts thing is a bit much, which I know really dampens this movie for a lot of people, but it's still a great sequel that didn't just copy and paste the first movie. Ocean's Thirteen is my favorite though.
@@reservoirdude92 - It's not the plan. It's the nature of having them acknowledge that the character that Julia Roberts is playing looks like actress Julia Roberts, and even talks to herself circumstantially. It's very silly, and takes away from the fictional reality (oxymoron, I know) they're creating. I don't mind it much, but I get why it irks some people
Not to ruin you enjoyment of the laser room scene but it bugs the crap outta me because that's not how laser alarms work, at all. It's about the laser hitting sensors, you contact a laser it blocks it from getting to the sensor, alarm goes off. You can't move them around with no sensors for them to hit. It does look awesome but damn. I laser room where the pattern to the sensors would randomly change would be more realistic and keep that completely unpredictable aspect. But it's an Ocean's movie. Cool overrides real world physics.
i totally agree that this "laser alarm" would never actually work, but I just put it in the category of "Things that do not really exist, except as a plot device." You know, stuff like faster than light drives or honest politicians.
Twelve was ok. But still prefer the first and the third. I hope you'd react to Ocean's Eight, in case you've not seen it. Love that rendition of the all-female version to the Ocean's series.

Literally the ONLY thing I don't like about this movie is that you can see a CLEAR AS DAY cut in the beginning, when Benedict grabs Bernie Mac's feet off screen....
"Gigolo" is a bit more involved than the Urban Dictionary definition. A gigolo is a (usually young, almost certainly attractive) man who is supported by a (usually) older, wealthy woman as her social companion, escort, dancing partner, and yes, often, her lover. But definitely as her arm candy when out in public (hence, "dresses like a gigolo"). They are expected to have good manners, excellent social & conversational skills, and proper breeding & dress. (Though there IS the trope of "the guy who is so gorgeous or such an incredible lover that they get away with a lot of otherwise poorer qualities.) You've heard of young, beautiful women being supported by sugar daddies? Flip the genders, and you have a gigolo.
While this film is okay and has some top tier scenes, it is my least favourite from the three films since we don't get a very elaborate plan - one guy pulls a switch on a train and the rest is basically just deceiving the audience. Looking forward to the next one!
