Yea you definitely need to rewatch this one to catch certain things. Turk and Saul were talking about the set up on the guy reviewing the hotel. Turk said it’s wrong (torture) and messed up and Saul ends up saying “he gets the Susan B. Anthony at the airport. Turk says something about “you would do this for 10 million dollars?” And Saul says “no, but I’d do it for 11 million. So they always planned to pay him back for what they put him through.
The weird thing is, once it clicked I did remember that conversion but I didn't hang on to it. I did completely miss the fact that they were gonna reward the guy until the end though!
Don’t know if anyone mentioned it in the comments, but I love how a lot of people miss the name of the agent Banks assistant calls. Agent Caldwell. Matt Damon’s character is named Linus Caldwell.
LOVE the fact that you went through these three so fast, it's been a fun watchalong with ya. And yeah, the dude 'explaining' blackjack to those guys (of all guys) was the joke. You can see it on their faces like 'are you sh*ttin' me?'. Maybe it was a bad take, or played way to subtle, but it's one of my fave bits. I hope ya continue with one of Soderburgh's earlier heist-ish flicks, 1998's Out of Sight, also with Clooney and Cheadle.
27:50 It checks weight distribution of the dice, ensuring it’s not weighted or defective. Also the emblem shows during spinning, ensuring they’re genuine.
You'll probably never watch it, but Lucky Number Slevin is also a great capper movie you should absolutely check out. I've not seen any other reactors watch it on their channels. You could be a trend setter. Lol.
The Ocean's films reminded me of those charming star driven films of the 60s, not just by the connection to the original, but by the sheer enjoyment of watching movie stars at play! The sheer charisma onscreen is worth any flaws in the story for me!
Just finished watching your reactions of 11 and 12 earlier in the day, so it was great timing getting to go right into this one. Awesome reactions and great reviews of all three, I'd definitely agree with you're rankings and the reasons for them. This one definitely has the most at stake where they're doing it for their friend and the code they stick to as thieves. This movie is also just the best made one imo, every conversation between the characters and every shot pays off at some point. An example of that is when the guys are talking about screwing over the 5 diamond reviewer, Saul says that he wouldn't go through with it for 10 million but he would do it for 11, so they end up setting him up to win the 11 million dollar jackpot at the airport. The more you watch it the more little details like that you pickup and it really makes for a satisfying ending when every scene has a purpose in the grand scheme of things.
Yes, they were very wise to fall back and structure "Ocean's Thirteen" more like "Ocean's Eleven". While you may not have known EVERYTHING that was going on in "Ocean's Eleven", you still felt like you were in on the scam while you were watching it. With "Ocean's Twelve", it felt more like YOU were the one BEING scammed, which was why it didn't go over nearly as well. And everyone involved knew it, too, which was also why there was kind of a running gag on the set of "Ocean's Thirteen" during filming, where everyone would refer to it as "Ocean's The-Way-We-SHOULD-Have-Done-It-The-LAST-Time". Just a little bit of movie trivia there. ^_^
I just realized who Saul's character reminds me of! As he role plays as the British casino reviewer, he looks and sounds like a much older Higgins from Ted Lasso!
Would love an oceans 8 reaction. Freakin nobody reacts to it. It seems to get a bad rap but I’ve seen it a few times and I find it delightful. Definitely slower paced though.
14:50 With coding, digital models, etc (ran of the shuffle machine), it’s very common to get results that are opposite of desirable, due to bugs, so it’s very realistic
This movie was definitely was better than 12, and it's even grown on my more since I first saw it. In order it goes, 11, 13 and 12 for me. 11 is chef's kiss and even now, it amazes me how they pulled that job off. It was So Smart! Same with 13. 13 had a lot of the same heart that 11 had and even though it had alot more side stories, like 12 did, 13 handled them 10x Better than 12 did. They never felt pointless or boring. I didn't know there was a prequel coming out. I can't wait!
I loved watching your reactions to these. Just watched all of them back to back and giggled through 'em all. If you wanna check out more Clooney films, my faves from him are Michael Clayton, Out of Sight and Solaris. The Italian Job is another good heist movie too. I think you would absolutely love that!
I dont care what any one says I 100% agree with your ranking and I would still put 8 above 12. But this is my favorite ❤ fantastic reaction! Thank you 😊
Every word and facial expression has meaning in the scripts in this trilogy. If you don't understand something, look it up and you'll get the reference or whatever.
21:33 Yeah, Saul dropped 5 Diamonds Reviewing guide, when you were absolutely lost why did Abigail check out Saul with that horny expression (12:16), I just can’t 😅
The second one lost me when the Julia Robert’s character was the ONLY one of them that looked like their real life counterpart; dumb. And yeah, 11 was good but this one was great!
Clooney films Out of sight Three kings Michael Clayton Syriana Perfect storm Confessions of a dangerous mind Good night and good luck Up in the air The descendants Index of March Gravity are all a good watch
I totally agree with everything you said about 12. That movies was always the worst of the series to me. I never really understood 12. It got too much and to me not really a heist movie. It was more of an anti-heist.
Ocean’s 11 had the heist and the soul. Ocean’s 12 had no proper heist, but it still had soul. Ocean’s 13 had a proper heist, but unfortunately, no soul. Although as a kid in 2007 I was in absolute awe after I saw it in cinema.

40:31 A genius callback to the first movie, Danny's interaction with Tess:
"Does he make you laugh?"
"He doesn't make me cry."
Yeah. And you see them breathing that oxygen? Definitely a callback, they were breathing oxygen in a first movie too.
Yea you definitely need to rewatch this one to catch certain things.

Memory is like that especially when you watch something for the first time. This is one of my faves. I watch it too much to be honest

Agent Caldwell. Matt Damon’s character is named Linus Caldwell.
Yeah, that was one of the things I told a friend of mine after he asked me about the movie. I said, "You FINALLY get to meet Bobby Caldwell". ^_^

14:24 It’s supposed to be showing how he never handles the games side, just technology. Even Clooney’s reaction was like wtf lol

There's a few reactions of Lucky Number Slevin on RUclips.
@@PorterJustPorter oohh, really?! I'll have to look again, thanks!

I think Terry Benedict is the most generous hotel owner in history 😁

You need to to oceans 8 now !!!
The whole dice factory strikes/riots substory is my favorite part of this movie. Too good.
Bernie Mac had double pneumonia during Oceans 12
Oh damn, makes sense then why he couldn't be in much of this one! I'm glad they made up for it here!
Think back to the intro in Chicago... "Friend of Bobby Caldwell..."
They actually built the entire Bank casino hotel interiors in a soundstage for this film.

To appreciate Elliott Gould's monologue (cars in the yard), which you skipped, watch The Godfather.
37:00 Honestly surprised you didn’t catch it by the agents name
fav clooney moviies for me, from dusk till dawn, and the peacemaker, the perfect storm and tomorrowland

He already did Ocean's 8

Excellent Clooney films
Michael Clayton
Out of Sight
Good Night and Good Luck
favourite Clooney movies Out of Sight and From Dusk Till Dawn. RIP Julian Sands the AI guy
Have you seen Italian job?
The Peacemaker is a great Clooney film.
Might be one to check out.
I know the Night Fox actor from the Ocean's Franchise and the French version of Beauty and the Beast. Two weird extremes.
Best Clooney film: Out of Sight.
True. But Salma Hayek in the lead would have been sooo much better than Yennifer Lopezzz!
Clooney must have hated those Taco flavoured keeses! 😅😅😅
Michael Clayton is a great Clooney film.

Snow storm today. Great to have this reaction to enjoy. Fabulous all the way. 👏👌😁 Totally agree about the anxiety to stay in a hotel that high up. 😉😂👌
My favorite Clooney movie is Michael Clayton
I highly recommend Logan Lucky, another Soderberg heist film, with Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, and Daniel Craig. It is on par with the Oceans for me.
Oh, I wish I could give multiple upvotes to this!! It's one of my favorites.
He said after watching O11 that he'd already watched LL 🙂
i loved three kings with him . Oceans Eleven though is probably my favorite
I dont care what any one says I 100% agree with your ranking and I would still put 8 above 12. But this is my favorite ❤ fantastic reaction! Thank you 😊
I love this movie, but every single time I hear “I slice like a goddamn hammer” I roll my eyes.
while it may be weird most of the references are from older quotes/events - slicing like a hammer is a reference to paul anka's tirade back in the 80s
@@xtrememayhemah okay. My mind always immediately goes “that doesn’t make sense!”

He already did

Love this trilogy! ❤
Great George Clooney films (my opinion)
Out of Sight
From Dusk til Dawn
Oceans 11

From dusk to dawn is one of his best
R.I.P Julian Sands. Forgot he was in this one.
I always thought Intolarable Cruelty is an underrated Clooney film.
Are you interested in the prequel with Margot & Gosling?
While ocean's 13 cannot beat oceans 11 it is a worthy sequel way better than 12
a great Clooney film is THREE KINGS
The second one lost me when the Julia Robert’s character was the ONLY one of them that looked like their real life counterpart; dumb. And yeah, 11 was good but this one was great!

Please react to The Way Home on Peacock you won’t regret it🙏🏾
Can you please react to Solo Leveling Episode 1 to 4? Its currently on going, they release 1 episode per week 😁

you have to admit the nose played.
That it did!
That wasn't the Night Fox. That was Katherine's Dad.
Toulour was the Night Fox. LeMarc was just LeMarc, he didn't have an alias.
Al Pacino's character was based on Donald Trump.
