Warms my heart and soul to see this collaboration happening
so beautiful... giving our indigenous families stewardship over the land - land that is in need of healing - is exactly what we need right now
AWESOME 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I'm part Bay and Plains Miwok, Patwin and Ohlone ✊🏽😎
Much love & repect for all those involved in this positive, heartfelt collaboration. It's impact cannot be understated. Inspirational. Relevant. Essential. 💕👍😊 Good work!
I am age 85 and a 5th generation descendant of Anglos who bought unceded Onastatis land in Napa County in 1857. I sobbed for ten minutes as this video ended. I have written a book, Inherited Silence, about what I could learn about the Napa land my family thought it owned and this film will go wherever I take the book. So grateful this vision is taking shape. May we help to continue the work. Thank you Alyx, Desi, John, Redbud Resource Group and Happy Valley Film Company.
I look forward to sharing this with my students!
This makes my heart glad.
Wow ! Salmon !! That brings me tears ! Bringing back salmon to our rivers will help heal the land - and dare I say curb the drought. As a child I lived on Sonoma Creek and feel a strong magnetism to the earth there. We need to halt development in the area to preserve the mystic. (I still cry at what Skyhawk did to the essence of the area - it changed the air quality forever).
Thank you for this beautiful work. It’s so good to see and learn about.
Inspiring!
Way to go Team Sugarloaf! Doing the good work.
What a beautiful and inspiring film.
I am so glad about and thankful for this collaboration. My heart feels stronger knowing about the good work you all are doing. I agree with the organic & respectful way you are growing first with relationships to self, each other, land, and community. And after a ceremony at the creek the salmon showed up. Oh my goodness. I am brought to tears. Thank you so very much.
