Napa Valley + Sonoma in 6 Days! What to do!

- Hi loves, it's been a min since my last travel vlog so on this road trip to Sonoma and Napa Valley I took my camera to document our trip. I hope you enjoy this vlog!

Wineries we visited:
Robert Mondavi: While this place is beautiful, it felt pretty commercial to be totally honest. I think it's still worth checking out since it's one of the biggest wineries in Napa.
Kelham Vineyards: This was one of our favorite experiences. It's family owned and feels very quaint. We had lunch here with some of the best unfiltered wine. So good!
Domaine Carneros: We went here for champaign tasting and it was so nice! I def. recommend checking it out if you're into champaign. They also serve snacks which helps when you're drinking so much. The views were also so beautiful.
Ram's Gate: This was another one of my favorite experiences. We did a three course wine and food pairing and the food was unreal. Seriously so good! The wine is delicious and the property is stunning.
Hall Winery: The property is beautiful but felt a bit commercial. They only serve red wine, which i'm not a fan of. I personally didn't love the experience but if you like red wine, you might enjoy it.
Hotels we stayed in
MacArthur in Sonoma. Super cute hotel and the food was great.
Villagio in Yountville. Prime location, cute hotel but I would try something different next time. Maybe their sister property, the vintage house.
Restaurants:
Most hotels include breakfast so we mostly ate at our hotels.
MacArther hotel has a great restaurant for dinner.
The Girl & The Fig in Sonoma. Cute, good food.
Farmstead: OMG Such good comfort food and super cute in Napa
Auberge Du Soleil: Gorgeous hotel in Napa with great food and beautiful views.
Bouchon in Yountville: So yummy and it totally feels like you're in Europe. Highly recommend eating here.
Bottega Napa Valley: Amazing Italian food. Try to make reservations to sit outside. Super cute.
RH in Yountville: Such a stunning place and amazing food.

I live in Sonoma County and I have a few recommendations if you come back to this area. St. Francis Winery has an awesome food and wine pairing. Kenwood Inn and Spa is a great place to stay nearby. Ledson Winery is a beautiful castle like winery in that area. The town of Healdsburg is nice also. There’s lots of wineries, shops and restaurants. Ferrari Carano is a winery with beautiful views that’s not too far from downtown. Glad you enjoyed your time here!

Next time you're here, visit Matanzas Creek in Santa Rosa. Hands down my favorite wine out of all of CA. The Cabernet Sauvignon is amazing!

Recently spent 5 days in Napa and also did not love the experience at Hall. Cannot wait to go back and try a few of the wineries on your list we have not been to!
Awww.. bummer. I highly recommend the less commerial wineries with excellent wines like Peju, Etude, Rombauer, Silver oak. Definitely eat at Brix, Buchon, Bistro Jeanty, Farmstead, Mustard grill etc... They are known for their Spa treatments too. I miss Napa, Hopefully we can go back in 2021.
@@jasprerph we actually met a couple on the airplane who highly recommended Peju but we weren’t able to get a reservation! It’s definitely on our list for next time!

We love to eat at Ad Hoc in Yountville when we do Sonoma/Napa. We go every other year for Thanksgiving.

Yay ! Welcome to my neck of the woods. 👍🏽Yes, as locals we never go to the commercial wineries.. always the family owned ones with excellent wine, food and ambience. I do love the cabs at Silver oak though... rich, oaky, smooth and deeelicious .. 🍷

Hi Sona, I'm curious how the weather was - it seems like you were there in early November? Seems like you needed a coat a lot of the time. Was it doable to wear dresses to dinner and still eat outside? Hoping to go around that same time and would love to get an idea of what to expect temperature wise.

Colorado is beautiful too!! But been here for two years now!!, and I sooo miss the scenes in California where I spent so much time working and chilling, so it was great seeing the familiar sites with you, it makes me feel alot better and warmer!

@@simplysona My husband travels a lot for business and I know he has been there 2x for customer visits. We had planned on going, but with COVID he is no longer traveling. But who knows! Maybe someday (fingers crossed).

❤️🍷💕🥂 Ram’s Gate after visiting last September for our 16th anniversary...so much so that we left wine Club members! Every quarter when my box comes I get a little taste of wine country at home in Chicago, which is SO desperately needed right now! Looks like you had a lovely, rejuvenating, fun trip!
If you're back up in Sonoma County, try Healdsburg! My friends and I would often head up there for tasting after work and on weekends. Glad you enjoyed your time in norcal!

@@simplysona Thumbprint Winery is in Healdsburg...good wine. But here is the REAL great place: Campana Ranch Winery...in Windsor....near Sonoma Airport. Steve and Sheri Bell are AWESOME! We live in Colorado Springs, and we are in both Thumbprint and Campana's wine clubs....simply wonderful....Campana is our #1 "go to" wine.
I’m honestly so surprised people are doing full on vacations during this pandemic. It just doesn’t seem worth it to me but I guess everyone is different. I am from here and have not heard that wineries are even open but I guess they are now?

I’m from Sonoma and The hotel you stayed at is def one of the nicest hotels here! And the town/park is called the plaza!

We didn't go to SF since we wanted to avoid the city and spend as much time in nature as we could.

Yes, it is. In the spring, after the rains, It's gorgeous as the hills are green. Its quaint, slower paced, gorgeous with amazing food and wines. I definitely recommend more low key wineries like Peju, Etude, Silver Oak is my fave...
