I realize China is a very powerful and rich country. The city looks glamorous.. and aerospace technology seems very developed. All of the scenes outside the city shows it's seriously a very huge country too.
Because the male character is not a typical young good looking son of wealthy family, worrying about his career, family, money, not just love relationship, I think many people in 30s will find this character more relatable.
Yang Yang's acting has improved in most recent episodes 💙
Simply speaking, I think this drama is very worth watching.

This drama stays true to the book n casting d perfect Qiao Jingjing n Yu Tu is the best!
It's Gu Man's novel. And every yime her novels got adapted to drama/movie, she'd become the scriptwriter as well. She did right by her books, her fans and also her fans' expectations. All her books/novels are my favorites, like Silent Separation, Love O2O, and Boss & Me (Shan Shan Comes to Eat).

I was quite impressed the conversation between yutu and his ex girl friend in EP 16. The music and eyes contact during the conversation show how tense they were. I don’t even think they were in love at all back then.

@@lyrahazel2079 We haven’t even seen a JJ and her ex scene yet. We’ve seen her ex meet YT for 5 secs. Then seen him come to the Gaming Event. That’s it. The only scene with them 2 will be aired in ep. 19. Wait for it and then decide. All this stuff follows exactly what is in the book. JJ will give her ex a good send off as well.

I’m so particularly satisfied with how well this adaptation follows the original source material, and it would seem it will also include the entire 16 epilogues that Gu Man added to fill the novel out. Nothing taken away. What is add is appropriate and well executed. My fav Gu Man adaptation is Boss & Me followed by Love O2O, then My Sunshine….BUT…If this keeps going at this pace, I truly believe this will end up on the very top of my list, and even No. 1 drama I’ve watched of all time. ~I have a particular love of it since, straight out of college, my first job was being hired and trained by All Nippon Airways, then eventually getting employed by an American aerospace manufacturing company as a Program Manager, where we actually did work on parts for the external dome for every space shuttle launch when they were active. I fully relate..and I never expected this.
I bet the engineers you worked with were not as hot as Yu Tu ;)

@@y_88Nrs No wonder... sometimes I thought, as if the scriptwriter wanted to challenge the original author, therefore the extreme change to the plot. But then... what is the point in buying the exclusive right of a novel if they don't want to follow the original plot?? It is the story which had kept the readers hooked and made it popular afterall.
GuMan is clever to be the scriptwriter for the dramas adapted from her books. I would have done the same if I were her.
And by the way, I am still desperately waiting for the second book of Blazing Sunlight. :-D,

Regarding the difference in story execution between scriptwriters and original author, this maybe due to censorship, drama production difficulties or limited funds.....
@@y_88Nrs Well sometimes I thought of that reason too, hence I can tolerate it adn kept watching to the end, but normally...the deviation of the plot with this kind of cause normally is not too drastic.
Let's say, some explicit bedscenes are probably crucial in the story but not possible to be shown on screen due censorship..hence the change.
Or some extraordinary skills which is still impossible to perform on screen despite the present CGI-Technologyy,
that is a possible reason..but again, the change caused by this is not necessarily deviating from the main plot toooo far.
So, the disappointment is not too high.
What I meant is rather the change of basic characters' trait, the mix-up up into melting up some of supporting character which destroy their original character...
If their role is not too important and has no influence to the main plot is quite fine, but if this destroyed their original role and gave the audiences false impression about their character, that is simply too much.
Example given is Legend of Yunxi:
The main role originally was an independent, strong and intelligent lady who doesn't depend her life and happiness on a man, she won his heart exactly because of this trait... she likes him basically nearly on the first sight but didn't sink on it and dared to let go and run away to be free, when she thought she had no hope.
But she changed into a whily dependent cute little girl who likes to pout when she is angry, and so unreasonable in her action.
Ning Jing was supposed to be the most capabe female leader of a trading company, but changed into a rotten selfish unreasonably bullying girl too, then Baili Mingxiang, the most selfless proper lady in the novel, changed into a jealous scheming woman...
That is extremely too far.
What is the point in buying the right od the novel then?
It seemed to me that they only wanted to get the "name of the character" and riding on their popularity.
This kind of change is not caused by censorship...
I complained about the plot, not the actress..
They did a great job, but their portrayal is simply not those I was expecting from the drama.
