Back in the day, if you lived in the country or a small town, the nearest place to get just about anything you needed was the general, or "country" store. The folks who ran them knew everybody in the community by name. It's good to know that there are still country stores to be found across Tennessee, and Tennessee Crossroads dropped by one in McMinnville, TN recently, where they serve up delicious food, and a heaping helping of memories. Looks like a cool old country place. I will make it a point to stop in here on my upcoming May vacation. Driving from my home in Washington DC to Donna, Texas and now a stop in McMinnville to have a bologna sandwich. Hope they make homemade sides like potato salad or macaroni salad!
