Got a nine it max and absolutely love it. Not very portable but better since putting on a handle and I’m a big guy so like the wheels, height and foot space. As a lil run around it’s ideal.

I bought the etow gt for Christmas and for my first scooter and I am pretty happy with it. Like you I found the portability was important and the power is totally fine for a city like paris and it’s so fun to ride. So I d like to thank you for your amazing and entertaining work that helped me a lot in my purchase. Hi I think I have a problem with my xiaomi scooter. It makes a clicking noise when I press the brakes softly. It's brand new so I don't know if it's supposed to do that.

Had my gt for a month, loving it, Max Speed on the flat so far was 26.2mph, although I don't know how accurate the speedo is. Plenty quick enough for me 🤣

I live 10 miles from work and commute with the Zero 10x. I just bring it inside... helps that I work on the first floor, it's heavy.

The Uscooter is the best, imo also: Portable, fast, good range, manufactured by a good company, and Uscooter has had several previous models that allowed them to get feedback from consumers. This newest GT model had a lot of feedback taken into consideration. I wish it had a better light, but hey...there is no such thing as the perfect scooter. Anyway...I'm surprised the Unagi (the iphone of scooters as they say), didn't make the list.

Thanks for the great top 5 Ben! I hope you had a Merry Christmas and will have a joyous New Year. As someone who rode the E-Twow Booster for a few years and actually has two of them still I can't agree with you more. The extreme portability and now performance would be a big plus for me regarding the GT. You can even trolley it around from the rear wheel if you really want to keep it with you. It fits in the gym locker and can be placed inside most grocery store carts. It is the best companion-commuter scooter. Once you modify the rear step brake a bit and learn to push down on it properly you can stop rather quickly. I have at least 6000 miles between my two E-Twow Boosters and they have been almost maintenance free and still on the original tires. My Ecoreco L5+ and Speedway Mini-IV (very similar to the Turbowheel) have served me great as my current commuter scooters. However, I would never have switched to them if my E-Twow Boosters just had a little more power and range. I like to maintain at least 25MPH as it helps me stay with traffic during my San Francisco portion of my commute home. If I had to pick a commuter scooter today it would be the GT for me. I still would have a high performance scooter for the days I feel like handling double the weight and much larger form factor.

@@BenFox01 I hate doing the math as folks rip it up like they did your math when you tried to estimate. However, the primary way I would look at it would be as follows:
Between all my scooters I have at least 9000 miles.
My scooter portion of my commute is 16 miles each day.
That is 562.5 round trips using a scooter.
562.5 x 80 miles = 45,000 miles saved on any of cars.
The price of my train ticket is about what I would pay on gas and bridge tolls so that is a wash.
In short, it depends on how you want to look at 45,000 miles I didn't put on my cars. I look at this as almost half a BMW X3 or CLK55 AMG Benz which are the two cars I didn't drive while scooting. In addition, there is the fun factor over sitting around in traffic. You are much more mentally and physically engaged on a scooter versus a car and my legs and core are better for it.
Oh...the 80 miles I used in my calculation above is the round trip distance if I had driven.

it's ip54, but in some places, like in Geneva, they have an optional service for around 100 CHF that makes totally waterproof (ip68)

Is a 2x electric motor scooter,250w 2x motor with top speed, limiter of 35-40km/h and similar Range , looks nice for me but i. M woried about the small dimension of the weals.
Now i have an es3 from segway but this small scooter looks interesting for me with the limiter of and 2 motor ( exist a chinese version with 2 suspension and dis is the one i. M looking to buy). I allready have an affroad traktor to ,an old one but is enough for me....

What about the Turboant X7? Reviews are great and it has a removable battery. Better yet, there's a christmas special til early January where you can get it for not $599, but $399. Just ordered it and shipping is free...and I'm across the Pacific.

The m365 now has suspension but you have to fit it yourself for around £45 off ebay and it's been tested pretty hard as well.

The boosted rev is a bang for me. Ipx7 , fun powerfull and lightweight. ( accelerate more quickly than a dualtron spider ) and of course the sound as you said haha nice analogy. I heard boosted rev battery is blocked at 70% to prevent fully charge battery stress. They are working to release a new firmware will unlock that so theorically 30% more range.

Ben,you should try out the emove cruiser(The updated version),it's waterproof,it's powerful and a battery that can last you forever! I have a xiaomi m365 pro but this scooter really drew my attention(Especially the orange colour ),im making lots of mileage every day and i would really love a scooter with more range and i think this scooter can do that(100 km range!).

I have the ES4, the etwow and the Boosted rev. The ES4 is nice if you can get it at a good price (I got it for $400 almost new), but has terrible suspensions which make it fragile if you ride it on not perfect roads. You start having screws unscrewing and stem wobble... And the brake is not great. Other that it has still very nice acceleration, power and range for the price. And great lights for riding at night.

Hahah great minds! So, (i think) you hold down the acelerator as you turn it on, then you can select diffeent speed modes! (i think) it was mode 4 to limit to 15mph - Still retains all the power though. You may have to google it!
Oh and btw the son of the ceo of etwow(now uscooter) goes to my brothers school and is friends with him and told my brother that there might be a law passing and they will have to do a software update and change the top speed(he also gave us a big discount)

Man, before seing the video I wrote as a comment to your question: GT and Boosted Rev, and wow they were 1st and 3rd...
I absolutely agree with you. The GT is by far the best in terms of power/weight/range if portability is important to you. The suspension and the soft rubber wheels are so good that it feels like having inflatable tyres and suspensions... And it rivals some dual motor scooters in terms of hill climbing... The short handles are perfect for using is in grocery shops etc. And if you want a better breaking experience there is a drum brake option that work very effectively...
The Rev is a different beast. it's almost twice as heavy but it's still the lightest dual motor with that kind of power (barring the old version of the Dualtron Spider). What is great about the Rev. It's one of the very few waterproof scooters. And it's as stable as as motor scooter in the rain, it never skids, unless you use the disk brake, which you absolutely don't need since it has the best electronic brake of any scooter, you can make an emergency stop under the rain and it will stop from 40km/h to 0 instantly without skidding.... And it's so precise you can ride at 5 km/h next to people walking in sport mode without any issue and then fly to 40km/h in a couple of seconds whenever you like.... That's why everyone says it's the most fun scooter to ride...
They are both technically "expensive" but so much better than other scooters in terms of power and portability, in their respective categories.
And the best is owning both, as they complement each other... The GT for everyday and for the range and the Rev for the rainy days, for fun and when you have no bike lanes and need to ride in traffic (where the additional power is necessary to safely keep pace with cars)

@@TETRINO Yes, but not every country has this option. In France and Switzerland it's possible to have drum brake mounted (it comes with its own rear wheel)
Was contemplating the GT, Xiaomi Pro (value) or the Rev. My heart says Rev as its the best looking and I feel I might want more power on road sections, but I hear mixed reviews on ride quality - you can't trust the reviews of those that get them for free. What's you view on the ride quality for the UK poor quality paths and roads.
Flyingtwiglet Of the 3 the xiami is by far the worst. Between the GT and the Rev it’s a close call. One has good suspensions, the other has large inflatable tires... Different feel, in some road bumps the suspensions are better and in other imperfections the tires are better, but overall both are quite decent and much better than the xiaomi. If the roads are really bad or you want to do some offroad than it’s better to have something with tires ans suspensions like the mantis (but it’s a different weigh, or otherwise the single motor version for the weight of the rev...)

Zero 10x is my dream scooter but tbh, I don't think I would use it for my daily commute because it's too heavy.

His best scooter of 2019 had its only big weak point in the 2020 version. The e-twow Booster GT 2020 now comes mechanical rear caliper brake with a bicycle style Tektro hand brake lever. They also added a robust looking kickstand. The only things I would change is to metal for the accelerator lever instead of plastic (mine broke) and to use a rubber instead of brittle plastic for the covers over the front axle bolts...this is the second plastic that broke on my scooter which I may spray with FlexSeal because I'm concerned about water. I'd probably use gorilla tape first and spray the FlexSeal over that. The last thing would be a drastic improvement in the rear LED brake light which is very weak for such a robust scooter. I'd like something that pops up when the scooter is fully raised. And a strip of LEDs along the sides of the deck would greatly improve safety.

Can you review the Kaabo scooters?
I have the Kaabo mantis, it is very much like Zero 10X but I think it is more power-efficient than Zero 10X, it is a heavy scooter but cruise nicely thanks to wonderful suspension (almost 10X like suspension) and probably better breaks than 10X. Mine is the base version 17.5 Ah version and in eco mode you can easily get more than 60 km on a single charge.
You're welcome to try out my Zero 8 but you'd have to travel back to your pad in London via Bridlington on the east coast - probably not worth it.

The etow booster 35v
Had it for about 4 months now. Over 572 miles on it. Its saved me money on transportation.

I like my mega wheels s1 light not fast but good battery an reliable
I think the Boosted Rev would be my choice if I had somewhere to leave it securely at work. And once I get rid of my car.
It looks like it could stand up to years of daily use in all weathers and be a real vehicle.

That's the whole point why you get the GT. You take it with you, so it don't get stolen. But I have owned a boosted rev...and there is no match in driving fun. No match, at all. If the range of that thing was not so outragously small, I would have kept it
Stijn Algoet Not really in my case. I would need them to provide somewhere secure for any scooter. I once tried putting my Brompton under my desk and they told me I couldn’t. Same would apply to any scooter despite there being acres of space.

I cancelled my order for the Zoom Stryder after not seeing this in the top 5. I hear their customer service is terrible and they are problematic, the problems are not worth the purchase. Went back to Xiaomi, had one before and they are solid scooters!

I prefer the Donkey GT... tie it up to a tree and it refuels itself, but you just have to remember to put the carrots in the pointy end or it gets really upset !!!
