- Let's take it a step further and remove the hud as well.
"ai_haste_overriderate 2" doubles the movement speed and attack speed/frequency of all demons, doomguy is unaffected.
Can't disable the hit indicator in the middle of the screen afaik (edit: actually there's a console command for it, thanks allstin), no crosshair is used otherwise... the demons are pretty large anyways, so who needs it. The worst part about no hud is that I have no idea what grenade I have equipped half the time (edit: grenade change sound is different, that'll help in the future, thanks void walker).
I had a glitch where I fell off the second elevator and apparently saved a bit of time. It's not a speedrun, but it's nice that it's over 6 minutes faster than my previous ARC Complex ML video.
First marauder should have killed me here, I'd rather fight 5 marauders at the same time than 1 marauder with double speed. If he spawns the dog then you have to get rid of it, but it's moving so fast that it's difficult to hit. The marauder himself is very quick too and covers the distance immediately. It was nice to show just how lethal he can be here as he went down rather easy in cultist base. Also should have died in the fight with the haste powerup, couldn't find any fodder for nearly a minute there and the baron surprised me.
I've really been enjoying playing the game like this, some demons are no longer completely pathetic (tyrants, prowlers), mistakes are punished immediately, no hud is only a disadvantage if you lose oversight and every marauder feels like a genuine duel. No idea if I'll make more videos with this parameter.

There is a way to disable the center thing, I can’t remember the exact command, something globalalpha 0 or hud_globalalpha 0, I can look it up if you like

Developers should start thinking about adding those settings in even harder Doom difficulty, cuz it seems like Ultra-Nightmare is too easy that people have to manually make the game harder for themselves :D

90% seems way to high for nightmare difficulty. I’d understand if it was ultra nightmare that 90% of people cant do but nightmare? Nightmare sucks when you are new to it but to say that 90% of people cant beat the campaign on nightmare seems like a huge overstatement.
@@bruhmoment595 its def not an overstatement, in fact i believe its a vast understatement - its probably 99%, 1 in every 100 people beat nightmare
people don't realize how underwhelming average performance is
and not just in eternal, but games in general. For example, low ranks in ranked games that people will call "bad" such as in mobas or counter strike have 50% of playerbase at least, top 10% of the playerbase are ranks that aren't even considered "good ranks"
and multiplayer games makes people try harder because they dont have a choice in difficulty and are more competitive in nature
hell, maybe its even close to 99.9% when we take into consideration how rarely people finish campaigns in video games

Once you taste no HUD, you can never go back. I don't even know how it looks in Doom Eternal, I haven't used a HUD in a Doom game since 2016

It won't do anything. The air movement is too powerful. Only cheating AI will stop anyone thats learned how to move right.

That elevator skip can be done by looking up and standing on the edge, it always happens if you look up.

Yesterday I beat this level on nightmare, I'm so freaking happy, I never thought I would get this far and complete a master level, on nightmare, on a xbox, without dying. I know this isn't much but for me it was like winning the world cup

He is similar to my level or a little bit worse in this video, because you are not always playing at your 100%, it depends on the day and did you made a long break from a game, where I'm just a good Doom Player, I don't play like a god.

Lightningbreak: Nightmare double damage
Zero Master: Nightmare double speed.
Both are incredible feats, but I think double speed is even more brutal than double damage, since you can dodge a double damage attack the same way you dodge a regular one, unless 2x speed attacks, which are insanely fast.
This is probably what the Doom Slayer is like, tbh.

They behave slightly different in NM and UV -fast in classic to my knowledge
Add 1.5-2x dmg modifer and u just created doom 2 nightmare difficulty and the plutonia experiment if you include the dlc

It's impossible to tell in all the chaos, but the game actually does feature two different grenade "equip" sound effects when you swap between them.
