In the original GTA Vice City, released in 2002, there were more than 75 songs across the radio stations in the game for players to choose from. Unfortunately, due to copyright and licensing issues, when the GTA Trilogy was released last year, 15 very famous and popular songs were cut from the game, upsetting many fans of the franchise.

Even the commercials are not bad when you think about it. Nowadays, you don't only hear commercials for 10 straight minutes, but the broadcaster/anchor is also made to read the same bullshit the sponsors are paying the station too for ANOTHER BLOODY 5 MINUTES

I mean graphics are going to be good I assume but songs like these are bound to another era. Unless they decide to use these songs in the game but from what I saw in the trailer it's represents current North America wich I'm not a fan of. Even as a 1995 child the 80's have some sick songs, cars and other products. Let's see if they manage to put some soul into GTA6 and not new generation dopamine rush like most modern games.

This comment right here!! I think this was the best GTA, I’m going to say that proudly, big names involved too Ray Liotta RIP. The storyline was pretty much a rip of Scarface but that’s what I loved about the game, like being in a movie. We’ve come a long way since then but this game ran so future games could walk for sure!
i remember exactly where i got lost the first time i played, i ended up in that garage with a banshee and found an uzi and the hidden package.

I randomly found the Fever 105 cd at a CD trader store and was so happy. Listened to that one in my car for Soooo long
I never knew this was a thing! I loved the fact each disc appears to be themed to the radio stations in the game!
And the way the discs are presented, I wish they brought this back!

I swear the radio stations in GTA Vice City and the rest of the franchise have better tastes in music than actual radio stations, not just because they were set in different time periods, but for me radio stations consist of the same 5 songs on repeat. Yeah, the GTA Trilogy had great soundtracks.

Ahhh the good ole days I still remember grabbing this from GameStop in 2002 and just putting hours into this game , and the sound track to this game just added and certain pop and the bright colors and flare , tommy still is one of my fav main characters.cheers

I remember my dad buying the boxset at a Virgin music store on holiday abroad (can't remember where I was young at the time) and he would listen to it every now and then at home or in the car with me. While it's not pristine condition and some of the cd cases have had some damage due to old age, I still have the boxset to this day.
I remember Walmart having these for sale in the CD isle. I picked up a couple of the CDs but this box set would be killer!

Honestly I’d say the late 90s was the golden age. In the late 90s you already hate the greats made. 60s and 70s and 80s music is readily available. But by the late 90s you had whole other genres of music. Grunge (Nirvana, Alice In Chains ect.), Rap (NWA, Tupac, Biggie ect.), pop (Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera ect.). The 90s really shook up what we thought music could be. But you are right that the 80s were an amazing time for music lovers. Seems like after 2005 or something the music scene just became bland and soulless.

It takes me back to 2002 what a time the game was perfect and i mean perfect in every way. Its among a pantheon of games that are the greatest ever. Ocarina of time, THPS2 , Vice City, San Andreas and Oblivion

Great video and review! Just a note I thought I might add though, is that there is an actual vehicle that suctions to the ground and has been inside a tornado before. The footage is on RUclips. So it’s not that far-fetched an idea on that aspect. But yeah glad you liked it I can’t wait to check it out!
GTA Vice City hands down has the best soundtrack in any video game ever! I’ve never came across a better soundtrack in a game.
Vice City Stories would be even rarer but I doubt Rockstar cared much about it.

Ah yes, back when the day when video game soundtracks were released on CD. I remember those days. It would've really made sense if the songs were released on cassette since the game takes place in the 80s but I know by the early 2000s cassettes just started to fade away at that point and CDs became the main way to listen to music.

I'm currently playing vice city and San Andreas and oh my fuckin God. Everything everything about it is awesome. They simply don't make games like that anymore. The radio is the best part of those game.

I use to walk back and forth the circuit city music section, eyeing the cover as a kid. Now at 32 years old I finally know how the art on the inside looks. 😥
