So we got full patch notes, and a visual guide from SNK themselves and you can find both those links in the video description! Its a pretty dang big patch, and even though theres lots of fun changes its pretty clear(at least to me, right now, maybe next week i look stupid) that the tier list isn't gonna have massive shakeups, even the top tiers that got nerfed are not hit hard, and hell benimaru got buffs so lol. So lets talk about some of the changes I found specifically interesting and uhhhh watch the vid i duno im running out of word power

@@naping i wish id would have been playable online. I had the game for years and uninstalled it everytime after a couple of days since matchmaking didnt work for 2 or 3 years or smth and nowadays it seems to be a discord fighter, i feel really scammed by it tbh.
10:40 As a Darli enjoyer, is not much but is something, Now she has a hit+command hit confirm instead of using Close HP cancelling on first hit, or HK link into Down HP, This is good. She also has a very good low, Close Heavy Kick is a low, + on block, and there is a lot of set ups to make it hit on last frame beating any reversal that is 5Frames or higher.
As a scrub, Nakoruru's close heavy second hit being cancelable is such a nice change. Man I really hope there's more than 600 online when the patch drops...

I can't wait the modders make a "KOF 15 MAGIC PLUS" WITH MORE CHARACTERS LIKE "OROCHI IORI", "OROCHI LEONA", "KUSANAGI" & "GOD OROCHI", PLUS THOSE INFINITE COMBOS FROM KOF 2002 MAGIC PLUS
Darli has cl.D as an excellent low. Yeah it's a little slow (10 frames) but plus on block and hugely comboable on hit. She's still likely to struggle but giving her metered overhead options is not nothing. I would have preferred she also had ex grab become a 1 frame attack so she could link from overhead (both cancel and raw are +2 on hit and -2 on block), but that's apparently too much to ask for.
You know, at the end of vice and matures trailer when it said orochi is eternal I was hoping it's hinting at the next seasonand us, getting him as the free boss also, I'd love to get orochi iori and orochi leona as a part of the next character season pass with the boss that would be awesome
to me I think its just the setup for kof 16(which is gonna happen after new aof and samsho, straight from oda to me) is gonna be an orochi bonanza again. Orochi is where KoF is at its best, so just go all in
@@Rooflemonger That means KOF16 is probably at least 3 years way - which means that this patched version is what KOF fans are gonna be left with for the next almost half decade. So let’s hope the game turns out more balanced than it appears currently. (For my money I can see combinations of Rugal/O.Yashiro/K’--Benimaru--Isla, or even Benimaru--Isla--Sylvie/Goenits, defining the competitive meta going forward).
Let's hope that SNK's game mechanics will be better than the last game patch gameplay before Season 2 and 3 of KoF XV DLCs. But, waiting for the patch scripts I am
Been out of the loop on this game for so long... I should grab the rest of the dlc and play some. It's so much fun. Just hard to keep up with multiple fighters when I have a job and other games do still exist. But I can break from sf6 for a few days lol. Thanks for the vids as always. I think Geese’s Fudou Ken having less safety all around(less pushback and more recovery frames), and slower sweep his pressure is going to be nerfed a lot actually. Might not be quite so top tier actually!
Coming to the comments to ask you lovely viewers: as someone who has never played KOF, outside of maybe 5 minutes at an arcade, how hard is KOF XV to get into? How steep is the learning curve, and how active is the online community/how good is the netplay? Thanks
It's nowhere hard as people think + I got all sorts of beginner resources on the Channel too. Netcode is perfectly fine and with patch and dlc online will be bopping
I rarely stream honestly and its something Ill try to fix come next year after the holidays. Although that said when i play on my own time I play on a private acct, no desire to get blown up on uploads for every loss lol
I dont know what to tell you but Darli has had an anti-air since her release. What she didnt get was a consistent way to get in against zoners (her hammer being able to negate projectiles is way too timing reliant).

Have plans to show all the changes in the patch the moment Vice&Mature are released, Roof? Ps: We gonna suffer another invasion of Beni, Geese, Isla, Sylvie and maybe the Gato return and possibly Clark, O Yashiro.
I think what'll happen is people will ditch the top tiers for a while to see the new changes in characters they're actually interested in and then realize those characters still aren't as good as their top tiers and go rushing back to them

They buffed a few characters that didn't need buffs as well. K' Shunei, and Kyo were already solid characters and got buffs. Meanwhile the bottom tiers got "meh, this is nice, but not what we really needed" buffs. I mean you already mentioned Darli and Maxima, but Haohmaru has a problem where if you do a jump C followed by standing C, his command normal whiffs for some reason. Sure they adjusted the push back of his command normal, but that only matters if Surprise Attack hits in the first place. Yeah sure, you can now combo super off of iron flash. Sure that's nice, but how many times are you hitting a raw Iron Flash in a game? Maybe the juggle off of EX Senpuuha into iron Flash into super will work? Not sure, but seems unlikely. Also I have a problem with how they just say "Altered character behavior" without explaining what the alteration is. Increased juggle state? Extra bounce? Crumple? Going to have to lab up my bottom tier team (Billy Darli, Haohmaru) to see if they are still trash or if they are at least usable now. My guess is they continue to be bottom tier, just with more burst damage. Of the three I'm most positive about the listed Billy changes.

That's one of the issues I had with it when it first dropped--I couldn't get online and I really didn't understand how to really learn the game. I wish the moves had Strive style descriptions. The big change for geese is definitely fudou ken, that move was arguably the best ender in the game and was insanely centralizing

I love Hinako and landing Haohmaru's heavy slash in SamSho so I'm pretty happy with this patch. I wish SNK would let Darli be good but oh well.

I think SNK is shifting focus to Fatal Fury for the next few years, that's not to say they aren't listening to fan feedback for the eventual KOF16

Basically how his Fudou ken was on release, the patch that made it safe was when top players started using him.

It's not crazy difficult but it's definitely not as hand holdy as something like Street Fighter or Guilty Gear
