A dry chain gets damaged with time and then translates to poor performance and fuel efficiency. In turn, the engine has to work harder to maintain good speeds. A dry chain gets stretched with time and damages the sprocket teeth as well. While the life of a bike chain largely depends on the kind of use it undergoes, lack of proper lubrication is the number one reason for premature wearing out. Due to contact with sprocket teeth, a chain which lacks lubrication tends to make an irritating noise, which only goes up with increase in speed.

Bro... When I rotate the wheel to check the chain slack, I noticed that one portion of the chain is very tight and the other portion is slightly loose. Now what does that mean? Also while rotating the wheel, the chain sound doesn't feel smooth. I regularly lube the chain between 600-700kms.

1 litre of motul will cost 290
1 litre castrol (8 packs × 70=560 rupees)
