- Today, I’m going to be showing you guys an adorable #DIY hairstyle! Every time that I wear this #CGH3StrandPullThru, I have so many people asking me how to create it! Where would you wear this look? 🤗

This hairstyle looks pretty intricate, but it’s actually incredibly #easy to create! I really don’t even need a mirror to create this style, THAT’S how quick and easy it is! I paired this pull-thru style with a scarf, but you could accessorize it in so many different ways! If your hair is longer, you could even continue the style further down your back. It’s very versatile!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Pull a small section on the top of your head into a small elastic. Puff up slightly with your fingers so that it’s not slicked straight back on your head.
Step 2: Take the hair in the elastic, pull it forward and temporarily clip it out of the way.
Step 3: Move down the head about an inch and pick up the next section of hair, and secure with a small elastic.
Step 4: Divide the hair in the top elastic into 3 even sections.
Step 5: Divide the hair in the bottom elastic in half.
Step 6: Place the middle section of hair from the top elastic, and place it in between the 2 sections of hair from the bottom elastic.
Step 7: Bring the 2 sections of hair from the bottom elastic up and clip them out of the way.
Step 8: Pick up your next hair section, and include the 3 pieces of hair that are hanging down from the top elastic into this new section of hair. Secure with an elastic.
Step 9: Release the 2 pieces of hair that are clipped up, and turn into 3 even sections of hair.
Step 10: Repeat Step 5-8 as far down your hair as you desire! If you’re hair is long, you can continue down the length of your hair, or elastic it off at the start of the neck.
Step 11: Take texturizing powder (to add texture & grit).
Step 12: Gently pull each section out (pancake it) so that it takes on an awesome 3D effect!
Step 14: Add a scrunchie or scarf at the end to take the style to the next level!

Would you do a video explaining how to determine what hair type a person has? Also, what texture powder did you use in this video? The texture powder I have makes my hair sticky, hard & a complete hot mess!! I'll definitely be trying this hairstyle even though I know it won't be as easy for me as you made it look, lol. Unfortunately when it comes to hair I just don't have any skill. I've got 2 daughters so you'd think I'd at least be decent at it, but nope. My 17 year old daughter is amazing with hair (& makeup). She can make the worst looking hair absolutely beautiful!!

Today is my second time wearing this hairstyle in the last week. I get tons of compliments on it and it is great for day 3-5 hair. I just would like to know what clear elastic’s you use? The ones I’m using today keep snapping even though I didn’t put them in too tight. Luckily I have some Bobby pins here at work to reinforce where the elastic’s have broken. Also, want brand of texturizing powder do you use? I’ve never used texturizing powder but I love to pancake my braids so I want to give the powder a try.

I would love to try this hairstyle on one of my friends! I personally have shoulder length hair, so I don’t think it would work on me. Also, I love your videos!
I'm a bit late, but believe it or not, pull through braids are perfect for shoulder length hair since they're secured with so many elastics (keeps flyaways to a minimum). You don't get a ponytail at the bottom, but the braid is certainly there!
