      Before LGE became pg CM for first time, this was one of the promises. That was 16yrs ago. This LRT propaganda was started during Khor Tsu Koon era, until now not even single pillar was constructed. All no action, talk only. The only development that penangites think of is during Lim Chong Eu era

    I'm afraid after billions of money been spent, Penangites still prefer cars and motorcycles because lack of connecting feeder buses , feeder bus trip frequencies disrupted due to congestion etc.
    Poor ridership, most passengers are foreign workers and senior citizens.
    High maintenance cost, payback period needs many years, a big financial burden.
    BRT is much much cheaper.

    • @stmpo5595
      @stmpo5595 10 месяцев назад +2

      When there is no subsidy for petrol you will see many people will opt for taking LRT. Don't be shortsighted. KL people also think like you when LRT first kick started.

    • @PHNgee
      @PHNgee 10 месяцев назад

      KL is big, Penang is small, distances to and fro are not very far. For people who will be entitled for petrol subsidy, prefer travel by own transport. Convenience matters.
      My point is elevated BRT is more viable and better option. @@stmpo5595
