    Not sure Waterloo is really worth a dedicated visit (unless it's on your way). I'd rather advise visiting Tournai, which has more to offer (such as its World Heritage cathedral recognized by UNESCO, it was also the first capital city of the Frankish kingdom).
    American tourists also like visiting WW1 and WW2 places, such as Ypres (Flanders battlefield) and Bastogne (Battle of the Bulge).
